Yeah, I remember that being a "Promise" by the Republicans... I guess after 4 years, it's just another BROKEN promise...

Funny how most any statement suddenly becomes a "promise" if they think they can use it to attack....

That Romney/Ryan, they are really cut ups. You have to really like their latest, the refusal to provide specifics on their pledge to provide specifics. Wow, they just keep coming up with this stuff.

And once again Printsmith has to disparage others rather than offer up a substantial comment. I do not covet or envy RMoney for his riches. I do detest his failure to invest in the very country of which he wants to govern. I do admire Bill Gates, Warren Buffet and others who use their earned wealth in investing in this great country and do substantial philanthropy to those who very much need it.

Tell me again where Bill Gates hired software engineers to write the code for his products? I seem to remember him coming under criticism for sending that work to India. Are Buffets investments and employees solely in this Union of ours Dog? I think you will find yourself surprised if you believe that they are. Romney invested in Staples and Sports Authority. Aren't those investments in this great country of ours that created jobs and consumers which helped to grow our economy and increase the amount of tax revenue collected by all levels of government? Bill Gates and Warren Buffet are billionaires that you are targeting, aren't they? How much of the "substantial Philanthropy" work that they engage in might have been scaled back to compensate for the additional tax burden you wish to saddle them with? Romney is a mere millionaire, hardly worth comparing to Gates and Buffet in terms of wealth. Shouldn't his philanthropy contributions be compared to the philanthropy of Gates and Buffet on the basis of percentage of income instead of raw dollars? That is how you want to compare the tax burden born by millionaires and billionaires compared to the middle class, right?

So your reply to Rmoney hoarding his millions of dollars in offshore tax havens rather than investing in the US is to rant about the tax burden on Gates and Buffett?

I am a little worried having all those itchy allied trigger fingers in one little strait might create their own incident like the time a US ship shot down an Iranian airliner by mistake...especially with tensions running high over the anti-Islam movie right now and blue on green violence in Afghanistan.

Fred -

I don't think we're Cuba II, yet ---- and I doubt we'll see shots fired.

Even the Joint Chiefs considers Iran a "rational actor" - although I'm starting to wonder if that assumption applies to Israel, as well.
