I guess Kennedy/Nixon debates were before your time too Raees. Many say the televised debates between the two was decided less on what each had to say and more with how each looked that night. Nixon came to the debate directly from a hard day's campaigning, recovering from a knee injury, and didn't let any of the television people put makeup on him. Kennedy was coming off of a brief vacation and was sporting a California tan that was enhanced with the application of makeup. Ever since that election, how a candidate looks has been at least as important as what they had to say.
