Romney wasn't my first choice archer. My first choice decided not to seek the office this time around. Given the choices that lie before me, cast my vote for Romney or by not casting my vote for Romney act as an accomplice to the reelection of Obama, I've really only got one candidate that I can cast my vote for and that's Romney. I'll be satisfied with both houses of Congress in the hands of the loyal opposition to Obama, not happy, but satisfied.
I think there are many members of the Republican Party that would make a better president than Romney would, and I believe that there are at least a few members of the Democrat Party that would make a much better president than the one we've got right now too. Unfortunately we are stuck with either Romney or Obama sitting behind the Resolute Desk for the next 4 years and given that choice, the candidate with whom I most agree is Romney, so that's where my vote is going.

Nah, he isn't my prize candidate, but the options aren't open to my personal whims. My guy isn't running. We get Obama, who has shown absolutely no leadership, and will keep us in the same poor economy with growing debt for 4 more years, or Romney, who, even though he isn't my favorite, has proven success at turning around failing businesses. That is my choice. Therefore, I'll take Romney. We can't handle 4 more years of the same thing we've had for the last 4. It doesn't matter to me what Bush did anymore. He was 4 yrs ago. Obama said he would do something, and he didn't. Any employee I hired to fix a failing business, who has made no progress, other than spend my company more into debt, would be fired. I'd hire someone new. Period.
Too bad future generations aren't here to see all the great things we are spending their $$ on!!
I'll tell you what, I have seen much better arguments from the conservatives on this board and way more childish jabs from most of the liberals, generally. I would love to really discuss without the mean stuff and ridicule. Even though a bit of ridicule as been fun when it is clever and does not have the constant mean tone. Just my opinon. Oompa loompa reference was funny when it is not truly serious.

I read comments like this and I wonder what Republicans expected to happen as the nation plunged into what even Bush said would be the second great depression. Do any of you have any inkling of how long it takes to get out of a depression? Do you really not see where we are now compared to where we were when Obama took office? You think nothing has happened to improve the economy?

Wait, did I miss something. I never heard this was a true depression. I was told it was a recession and bad but not a depression.

It WOULD have been a depression if both Bush and Obama hadn't stepped in to try and turn things around.

That means your statement was false. IF they prevented it then it should not take years and years and if we were in a depression then they did not 'save' us like you said. Just sayin.
I have repeatedly requested that the republicans give any reasons as to why one should vote for Romney other than he is not Obama. Not one reason has been articulated.
