And you know for a fact they aren't? Oh, You DO know for a fact they aren't... Well, how many? 10-40-70 % How many?... Source?

I wonder how many Hispanic's taxes could be paid, or at least offset, if Mitt-Flop, the plastic RMoney, paid what everybody else was paying on their income, instead of hiding his money off-shore?

Those are separate issues, LJ. I agree with eliminating loopholes used by the stinkin rich to hide their income.

I also think that anyone that lives here should contribute.

I can't see how an illegal worker could possibly pay taxes. They can't be part of the system because they're illegal.

Comprehensive Immigration Reform? That could mean a lot of things. What would I like to see? A huge increase in legal immigration numbers, doubling, tripling, but they have to do it the current way. And I would also permit people to buy their way in. Spend 100K and get citizenship. Instead of having the wealthy migrate, lets encourage them to bring their assets here. China has made many billionaires and millionaires who would like to have a haven overseas for assets and families.

Only way is to make employers go legit, which means forcing the workers to follow suit. They'll conform and assimilate according to our rules on immigration or they need to go back home. At least, that method SHOULD hold some water imo.

Since the first $250,000 of income will be taxed at the same rate...Your dad must be doing VERY well, if he's worried about paying an additional 4.6% on only the income ABOVE that $250K... (Which was what they were paying back in Clinton's time... Yes, that time when he left a surplus and created 23.1 million jobs.)

Sorry, I'm really having a tough time "feeling his (and your) pain"....

Should people who live here pay their "fair share"? Yep... (Hmmmm... "Fair share"....where have I heard THAT before...)

Our business regs (EPA ARSES) and taxes combined are making it more and more of a bane to do business in this country. We keep increasing the costs because we're supporting too many people that don't put back into the system and we have radical environmentalists. It's time for a country wide crackdown (really should be on everyone not just latinos) and weed out some of the worthless. The strong, given sources to figure things out, will do so. The rest need gone. Those that can't make it will perish. Dust the hands off. As far as regulations, they need eased up. I'm not saying I condone a company to dump toxic waste into a pristine river, but there's ways to start making it lucrative to set up shop here again.

Yea, the same rate. Not exactly down to the thousandth, but still 35%. Wtf? That ain't enough for your open handed mentality? You need more than that? Oh wait, for the greater good. And your 4.6% figure? Don't know where THAT drivel came from but it's going to be t-e-n to f-i-f-t-e-e-n p-e-r-c-e-n-t more, and please LJ, don't be "sorry." I know that regardless of how I try and look past the crap, you still only think about yourself and people that are weak and worthless. The Robin Hood mentality. Lady, this ain't the middle ages, there's too many people. My Dad worked his way up from and entry level grunt position to what he's making now. He's not exactly an entitled desk jockey that did nothing but go to school.

The "4.6% on the amounts OVER $250,000" came from the IRS website... And like I said, if he's making enough to be angry about paying 4.6% for the amount OVER $250K, sorry, I'm really having a tough time "feeling his (and your) pain".... (EDITED TO CORRECT THE TYPO $350K to: $250K)

And, not to diminish his accomplishments, but unless you're a Mitt RMoney, and have it handed to you, we ALL have "worked our way up" from throwing newspapers or whatever... (Which I did...) to 6-figure incomes...(Which I did)... Shall I bring in the violin players to do "Hearts & Flowers" now?

So OVER $350K and then in the next sentence back to $250K. Yer a riot, hahaha. Hell, I feel sad that you believe everything you read, even if it seems to be from the most TRUSTED sources. Btw, the way you post tells me yer a liar about your income. You do a good job relating to others though....well mostly. Seriously, you're a riot. I actually decided to stay on here and post instead of driving by but now I gotta hit the road for work....so I can pay more taxes.....so your precious welfare (and every other assistance under the moon) recipients can have a roof, food, heat, electricity, cars, electronics, multiple useless toys, etc, etc.
Crap, almost forgot. In your spirit of things, I think you know where to place the violin, and the players if they'll fit. HA! Have a good day.

How can they pay taxes when they're here illegally?

Repeat it as often as you'd like, it still doesn't make sense that any illegals would file income taxes.
