Americans Who Think We'll Be Worse Off in 4 Yrs Doubled,

The Republicans will never have another chance to challenge in a national election better than the one they just blew. You had an administration reeling from high rates of unemployment, a slow rise in the economy, terrorism on the rise, etc., yet could not mount a viable challenge. The mantra that Romney was simply not conservative enough is laughable when the electorate thought he was too conservative. The continued harping that blacks, hispanics and women were simply takers while white males were providers by Republicans was not only false, it alienated the majority of the voters. The continued hunt for a "conspiracy", whether it be a birthplace, education, religion, gun running, embassy security, etc., was found by the majority of electorate to be a ridiculous waste of time diverting attention from the issues of solving the problems with the economy. The voters have made it clear they have no use for the right wing conservatives that the Republicans keep trotting out, while the Tea Partiers have made it clear they will torpedo anyone with a moderate bent.

It was not just America rejecting the messenger, it was more that America rejected the message. We ain't buying what the Republicans are selling.

Eggsactly. They have no one to blame but their own party (although they are blaming everyone else) And the Tea Party, which lost a dozen offices, seems to not have gotten the message and is doubling down for 2014.

Oh, I HOPE so...

Keep up your dreams of invulnerability. hyper inflation and taxageddon are on the way. And if the Dems are so invincible why do they still not have the House?

Yes. The way I see it talk is cheap. We now have four more years to see if the liberal approach to economics is going to work or not. The Administration was able to snow some 51% of Americans that it just needed a little more time to make things work. Well now they have four more years.

One approach is seriously right and the other seriously wrong. I think the first four years were inconclusive at best. After four more years I will be the happy to be the first to admit I was totally wrong about which economic model works for America. But first I need "a little less talk and A LOT more action."

Time will tell. News at 11.

It was 52.5% ... Which is more than Bush's so-called "mandate".... And I'm going to save this post and revisit it in 4 years...

So what is your "economic model"? Oh yeah, two unfunded wars, unfunded tax cuts, decrease regulation to increase corruption in the financial industries, etc. Yeah, that model worked great.

There was no "snow" job by this administration. Their efforts and record were clear. The American public chose them. Your guy on the other hand, no clue, no details, no nothing. If you truly have an "economic model", then why not put it on the table for everyone to see. Of course that House GOP majority, the one elected on the promise of "laser like" focus on "jobs, jobs, jobs" did what exactly? Their entire agenda was to thwart the passage of the president's legislation while offering nothing of their own.

52%? Not a mandate especially when BHO chose to run against a do nothing Congress that was easily re-elected.

Fred....the Republican party should hire you, you have a vast array of excuses, spin, apologies, and ridiculous reasons for their loss that I am sure they would love to have. You amaze me with your inability to see the reality of this election.
