Change is uncomfortable. I started with Pinecam back in the early years, and found it both entertaining and an outlet for both political and community conversation. In time the board changed, slowly but unmistakably. I was never banned from there.....got a 3 day suspension once for asking the wrong question of the wrong person (a mod) and had a few posts disappear into cyberspace. I still post there occasionally, but really don't participate much because it isn't as fun, entertaining, or as free as it was in the beginning.

I know I am not the only poster who migrated here from other boards because of the unmoderated atmosphere and the freedom of expression. What happened at Pinecam is what I see happening here.....sure, I only had one post moved to the ring....it was a pretty tame, innocuous even, post that responded in kind to another poster......now that is no biggie other than to indicate that I can no longer post while being into the discourse without having to make sure that no one is offended, or at least no mod thinks someone might be offended......and that seems a shame. It takes a lot of the spontaneity out of the experience. Isn't that what we come here for.....the experience?

This isn't so much a complaint as an observation, I am well aware that others do not share my point of view.....nothing new there....I only speak for myself, but I suspect that my posts will diminish over time as they did with Pinecam.

This is SC's board, and that is as it should be, but there is no board without the posters.......and traffic is what convinces advertisers that being on the board is worth their time and money. Perhaps these changes will drive new posters to the board, I hope it does because SC is one fine lady and she has put her heart and soul (and her money) into this endeavor. The fact that I am not pleased with the changes is on me.....

This is SC's website. It does not belong to the former owners. The former owners opinion is worth the same as mine, i.e., with the addition of the price of a cup of coffee, it is worth a cup of coffee.

So SC is trying something slightly different. That is her right! And I wish her success in doing it.

How will it work? We all have to wait and see. But, I think it is wrong for the previous owners to badmouth her attempts.

Wasnt the original goal of this site to be different than Pinecam? Then why the hell has this place turned into Pinecam? Sc, I must say that you have ruined this site and I think you should have left well enough alone.
