Good question. He didn't do a very good job setting up a replacement. It will be interesting to see how the country breaks, it appears he is still very popular despite food shortages and electrical outages. I think Venezuela will continue down the same road.
Personally I would love to see an overthrow, the oil field products my company makes were very popular down there before Hugo came into power.

Thomas Sowell: There are no solutions, just trade-offs.
Just a joke. Hugo had the best care available from both Venezuela and Cuba and still died before 60. Counter? Fidel Castro has outlived his contemporaries like Nixon Kennedy and Kruschev by a large margin.

I have a coworker who has stage four colon cancer and I have to say I wouldn't ever wish that level of suffering on any human being, somehow I think I could make an exception in Hugo Chavez's case.
Who steps into the dictator's shoes next? Hard to say but I agree with others that not much will change in Venezuela in the near term unless a violent coup is successful in overturning the current dictatorship and the strangle hold it has on the population.
I can explain it to you but I can't understand it for you.

The 60th anniversary of Stalin's death was yesterday and as far as I know Barry didn't acknowledge it, I guess he must have been busy shutting down tours of the White House or mourning in private.
I'm sure some left thinking individuals out there will be Johny on the spot with some sort of celebration to recognize all of the "good things" he did for the people of Venezuela and the world.

Pretty insensitive of you...cancer doesn't distinguish between good and evil people....what you posted is a disservice to every good person who has died from cancer before the age of 60, and those of us who have fought it.
