So tell me this. If the police receive a tip that a child may be in danger, should they just ignore it?

At what point do you draw the line on living in a nanny state.

QUICK! What's the number for 911?!

I can explain it to you but I can't understand it for you.

Bob, that bike looks like it has been modified, how can we be sure that after market modifications are safe? For all we know those modifications could have been made by someone who is not licensed and certified by the State and Federal Gubments, these types of modifications are potentially dangerous and therefore MUST BE BANNED before it's too late! By banning modifications now we can prevent senseless modified bike violence in the future.

Banning modifications? That is BS Otis. Might as well ban guns. All we need to do is call the police to check it out because the kid might be in danger.

Each January on average 5000 new laws become effective in USA......mostly local. IF a cop shows they have thousands of reasons to arrest all of us......just do not get involved for your own protection. Let the system figger this out.

Was anyone arrested in this incident? I certainly don't agree with what happened to these people, and it sounds like the authorities have backed off... As they should have. But why did the parents think it was a good idea to put a picture of their kid with the gun on social media that apparently was available to the public, or at least friends of friends.

Just curious....if he broke no laws and did nothing wrong......what was wrong with a picture of his kid with his birthday present?
The police wanted to inspect and catalog all of his weapons. They clearly violated his rights.....not to mention scaring his poor kid to death.

This will continue to happen until it becomes the norm. That is just how divided this country has become. Sad that 50% just can't see it...won't see it until all those who disagree with them are locked away to keep them safe.
Sounds like a crazy science fiction movie doesn't it......only problem is that it is becoming common place.
Release the names of gun owners. Invade peoples homes over Facebook posts. Restrict the kinds of guns and how many bullets we can posses. Don't let us eat bad foods or drink to much soda. No smoking...even in your own home. Saw a story today about an employer making their employees take blood tests and weigh in and prove that they are living a healthy lifestyle.....This is getting downright scary.
