For those who want to post that they did not get away with it, the point is they thought they had ether the right or the power. Not all of us have a lawyer on speed dial.

"CARNEYS POINT, N.J. (AP) – The ruddy-cheeked, camouflage-clad boy in the photo smiles out from behind a pair of glasses, proudly holding a gun his father gave him as a present for his upcoming 11th birthday.

The weapon in the photo, posted by his dad on Facebook, resembles a military-style assault rifle but, his father says, is actually just a .22-caliber copy. And that, the family believes, is why child welfare case workers and police officers visited the home in Carneys Point last Friday and asked to see his guns."..............
"
Shawn Moore said he gave his son Josh the gun as a present to use on hunting trips. The elder Moore was at a friend’s house when his wife called, saying state child welfare investigators, along with four local police officers, were at the house, asking to inspect the family’s guns.

Moore said he called his lawyer Evan Nappen, who specializes in Second Amendment cases, and had him on speakerphone as he arrived at his house in Carneys Point, just across the Delaware River from Wilmington, Del."

OMG, the kid has a gun!
IIRC, I got my first rifle at that age, a Browning .22LR semi-auto!!! Oh noes. 10 shot tubular magazine in the stock. Still own it.

NUF'SAID.....get your guns by July.....keep them off property and submerge....do not put anything on the net. NOW, the Soviets depended on state terrorists and the fear that a friend or neighbor would turn you in....falsely or not to keep the USSR sheep in line. The effectively kept every Soviet Citizen safe, scared, impovershed, and stupid.....POST 911 we have edged closer to the police state.......ever closer. The 911 crew are celebrating in Muslim Paradise........they are winning....and have bled the USA $$$$ 15 TRILLION and counting. Basically this is what Hitler did to the BRITS and now as usual the Germans rule Europe.....again.

I am generally not an ACLU fan.....but they recently anounced a nationwide review of the impact of 911 on freedoms............. this effort seems very important to follow closely. The way to stop this taking is via the courts and ballot box......and then cut the funds (that always works.....brutal cuts).

Good thing they didn't have Facebook when I was growing up. Especially when I was in college and high school.

Having many cousins in Louisiana and Texas......the NJ idiots would try this once there........then out of town on a rail......this madness is to an extent regional you may note. The voters there would never tolerate this from police or clerks.....

"NOBODY IS COMING FOR YOUR GUNS!!!" Oh ya, I'm sure nothing like this will ever happen again :Koolaid:

The left is angry because they are now being judged by the content of their character and not by the color of their skin.

Bob....I read this in its entirity.....this approach is precisely how the Soviets set up their poloice state....exactly. Informers (who in this case will not be revealed because they have liability - typical) turn in someone they do not "like"......police and welfare show and arrest citizen with no evidence of anything......many times the criminal is placed in a mental institution or attitude adjustment gulag if the phony charges are very minor. Otherwise if the citizen actually had a gun he/she simply disappeared forever. We are not there yet......but it starts like this NJ act.

THE question....why did not ONE cop or clerk refuse to participate....? Hummmmmm....just following orders !!! Where have we heard this before......

Was anyone arrested in this incident? I certainly don't agree with what happened to these people, and it sounds like the authorities have backed off... As they should have. But why did the parents think it was a good idea to put a picture of their kid with the gun on social media that apparently was available to the public, or at least friends of friends.
