State Senator Evie Hudak faces recall petition

Color me skeptical.
They probably only got around to arresting the bad guys after Obama told them gun control would be the message this year. Now if only Eric Holder would also prosecute the felons lying on 4473's.

Gee, I thought we covered this... Being denied a purchase because of a failed background check is not by itself a prosecutable offense...

But if you repeat it enough times....?

So felonies are not prosecutable? Sounds like lazy prosecuters. But federal prosecuters are famous for only taking on easily won cases. Something like 97% of federal cases bring convictions. How many felons are skating just because the evidence isn't ironclad. No wonder the SEC has become a paper tiger, but passing more laws will change this, right?

But they could change it instead of letting felons walk, couldn't they? If Obama actually cared about access to guns, he could make it a prosecutable offense.

Oh no, Barack is hamstrung again!!!! Impotent president.

Colorado Sen. Evie Hudak recall effort suspended

An effort to recall Colorado state Sen. Evie Hudak, D-Westminster, has been suspended , somewhere short of collecting 18,962 petition signatures needed to force a public vote.

The recall requirement is based on 25 percent of the total vote in a district's last election. The recall committee faces a June 10 deadline to file petitions with the Secretary of State's Office.

Gun rights advocates had targeted Hudak and other statehouse Democrats for their support of gun-control bills that passed this session. Hudak sponsored a successful bill to restrict gun ownership by those who have committed domestic violence.

A recall effort against Rep. Mike McLachlan, D-Durango, was dropped Tuesday .

So, how's that working out for you so far?.... Not enough outside money to get enough petition-signature collectors to do the job?

And the recall of a Western Slope anti-gun Dem has also failed.

The NRA is supposed to be sending funds to help with the other recalls, so we will see if it does any good.

Well, if Colorado is supposed to be so "overwhelmingly PRO-GUN/NRA", why would the NRA need to send funds to Colorado? Shouldn't all those "overwhelmingly PRO-GUN/NRA"-types be chomping at the bit to sign the recall petitions?

Which is it, Fred?

To counter Bloomberg sending money and hiring lobbyists?
