DENVER — A convenient, mostly mail-in ballot mixed with contentious races for gubernatorial and Senate nominations produced a record turnout for primary elections in Colorado.
In Jefferson County, one of Colorado's largest counties, more than 91,000 ballots had been cast by Tuesday afternoon, hours before the polls closed — compared to more than 68,200 in all in the 2008 primary, said Josh Liss, the county's deputy of elections.
The results were not a big surprise. This county rarely votes out incumbents. The surprise was that Graves got 1/3 of the vote. That is a much higher than I expected and holds promise for the future.
If the school resource officer issue holds water and the allegations about the PCSO are true, the county might have a new sheriff in the next 12 months.
I don't know you personally so I will not cast lies or dispersions like you have.
Oh and do pray tell what LIES and DISPERSIONS have been placed in these forums by Av8tor or others who know the facts. You seem to be SO in the KNOW! YOU clearly like to keep your head in the sand and look the other way even if it is illegal by a person in a position of trust (law enforcement). That's says quite a bit about yourself there "DWJ". I am simply amazed at how people of Park County continue to condone the very, very poor running of this county not only by the Commisioners but by the Sheriff's Office. Carry on.... Karma...it will catch up to those that continue to allow not only our tax dollars to be thrown away frivilously and keep us in the red but also by continuing to allow Deputies to be brought to this county hired by our current Sheriff to continue to commit illegal acts of their own with a slap on the hand and hush money. :bash :dontget: :nono:
congratulations to the winners. and thank you to all who ran. you made a difference.
we are a republic which means the majority rules but with respect to the rights of the minority.
from the votes it looks like there are a significant minority who have some issues with the majority. i hope that they will bring them forward and ask for things like a citizens committee to provide input at the commissioner and sheriff's level and perhaps for debra green as there seems to be some issues there as well?

Can the people/taxpayers of Park County afford to continue to pay out the millions in suits Wegener and his staff have caused? does anyone know the total on payouts while the fred admin. has been in
?
