And Boehner and the TeaPublicans are STILL the most unproductive Congress in history.

LJ's definition of success is right in line with the president's I see. Oh and that race card thing never gets old does it? Pathetic.

The left is angry because they are now being judged by the content of their character and not by the color of their skin.

President Obama plans to talk about ACA again today.
Think he will be acting like a pep rally? Or taking more blame for continuing security and data transfer fails?

HHS Works to Fix Drug Plan Woes

January 18, 2006
President Bush's top health advisers will fan out across the country this week to quell rising discontent with a new Medicare prescription drug benefit that has tens of thousands of elderly and disabled Americans, their pharmacists, and governors struggling to resolve myriad start-up problems.

You've already lost this round, Fred... The Offical Republican Playbook says it's time to move on to: #4-"You promised I could keep what I had"... Try to keep up...

House Republican Playbook

And I keep asking for the Republican Health Care Alternative... [crickets chirping] You will insert that here, right? _

Too little, too late, they wait till their back is against the wall to form a plan? There are some things in that plan I like, would have liked to see incorporated into the ACA.....like buying insurance across state lines, but in their anger at having reform come from Obama and the Democrats.....the Republicans just said no, not let us help, just no. And now? They want to turn the clock back and formulate their own plan......right.

Words of wisdom

"I will sign a universal health care bill into law by the end of my first term as president that will cover every American and cut the cost of a typical family's premium by up to $2,500 a year."

“If you like your doctor, you will be able to keep your doctor, period. If you like your health care plan, you’ll be able to keep your health care plan, period. No one will take it away, no matter what.”

"tarting today, you and your friends and your family and your coworkers can get covered, too. Just visit healthcare.gov, and there you can compare insurance plans, side by side, the same way you'd shop for a plane ticket on Kayak or a TV on Amazon.

"You enter some basic information, you'll be presented with a list of quality, affordable plans that are available in your area, with clear descriptions of what each plan covers, and what it will cost. You'll find more choices, more competition, and in many cases, lower prices -- most uninsured Americans will find that they can get covered for $100 or less."

"And you don't have to take my word for it. Go on the website, healthcare.gov, check it out for yourself. And then show it to your family and your friends and help them get covered, just like mayors and churches and community groups and companies are already fanning out to do across the country."

If I had heard this coming from Bush's mouth, I would have demanded that he be impeached.

So it is OK for Barack Obama to modify ACA rules and time frames without consulting Congress at the last minute, but wrong for the GOP to do it? tongue:
