So it is OK for Barack Obama to modify ACA rules and time frames without consulting Congress at the last minute, but wrong for the GOP to do it? tongue:

The king doesn't need permission to change the law or interpret the Constitution.

Every one victory Obama starts to see with this law will be countered by at least two epic fails. And in three years when his term is finally over we will STILL have at least 30 million people without health insurance, while the producers are paying higher premiums and deductables than ever. Mission accomplished :fwave:

The left is angry because they are now being judged by the content of their character and not by the color of their skin.

I didn't say it was wrong..... I said what took them so long? Why not participate from the beginning? Why have so many house votes to repeal the ACA , but not for common sense improvements? And why make such a big issue about the roll out of the ACA, but not about the problems with Part D...... We know the answer to that, if the GOP has problems, that's understandable, if the Democrats have problems that's an impeachable offense. I'm simply pointing out why I don't take all the outrage posted here over the ACA too serously.

The GOP had to find out what was in the law before they put something together to replace the law. (Nancy Pelosi strategy - it worked for the Democrats)

So true, and they didn't exactly make this nasty sausage on CSPAN as promised (one of the many lies). Republicans had zero say in the making of this law because they had no leverage whatsoever... so why would Dems entertain any input?

Sorry rick those are excuses not reasons. The GOP made itself perfectly clear, they had one goal and only one goal, make Obama a one term president. They had no interest in participating. You can spin history however you want, but it doesnt change the truth.

New CBO estimates that by 2019 31 million Americans still will not have health insurance. Why are we doing this again? And Obama only has anecdotes on ACA working because he is too embarrassed to release the actual numbers.

Can't please you.

No you cannot Walter, you can debate archer all day long and she just moves the goal post and changes subject, yeahh but but, LOL

There have been plenty of Republican proposals over the years, Bush proposed equalizing the tax treatment for Individual plans and expanding HSAs, etc. and it went nowhere in Congress since it was not comprehensive enough. Obamacare is far from 100% Universal coverage, if they hit 90% it will be surprising. Individual plans are still not on equal tax standing for deductions. Ho hum.

If you want to be, press one. If you want not to be, press 2

Republicans are red, democrats are blue, neither of them, gives a flip about you.

Thanks LOL, it is difficult to debate here, hard enough to explain what I actually do believe when I have to spend the time explaining what fred or some other poster claims I believe or posted. I would, however, like an example of what goal posts I moved.

You guys always say that like it's something unique to the GOP. If you don't think the Dems didn't do everything they could to make Bush a one term president, then I think you are very naive. Congressmen Price and Ryan both had plans back in 2009 but YOUR media probably didn't fill you in on those details.
Obama promised this law would be created in an open and transparent way which was a straight up lie. There were bribes made to get the last couple votes needed and none of the Republican ideas, like selling across state lines or tort reform, were even entertained. There has also been an idea of healthcare savings plans which were also brushed off. NOTHING in the ACA addresses the real cost of health insurance... the cost of medical care, medical supplies/devices, drugs, etc.
