As an INDY I applaud this action.....I AGREE with Trump,.in that computerized control ofthe plane doesNOT address the issue of how intuitive or skillful the pilot ACTUALLY is in manning the aircraft.

Number of flying hours for the pilot, simulation training WITHOUT the aid of computer driven control....all are essential in averting a catastrophic crash. I realize there are many factors
in flight training,BUT, KNOWING the aircraft and flying it intutively is an ART. "SULLY''is the
set standard for that scenario....jmo

The computer control is apparently simple to bypass, but requires training to do so. Pilots have been complaining about the software here in the States, but have been properly trained on the software so they could bypass when needed. Boeing has already come out with a software patch, but likely too little, too late. They are going to have to admit culpability on this one and fall on the grenade if they ever want to claw their way back out of the red.

PER SULLY......not enough cock pit training and the airlines are pushing pilots thru the system
with insufficient training......so-o-o, with that information should you (collectively) be asking
the question (before boarding) HOW MANY FLIGHT HOURS DOES THE PILOT AND CO PILOT HAVE?

PER WSJ......BOEING WANTED TO DO A HANDOUT OF CHANGES,NO REAL PROGRAM
SIMULATOR OR VIEDO TUTORIAL …..FAA IS STILL ASKING FOR TUTORIAL AND
SIMULATOR DISPLAY.....BOEING IS GOING ON THE CHEAP....$$$$$ GREED AND
NO INTEGRITY.....when changes to original design circumvents the process for safety and
secure training....we have a pretty BIG problem.

Aviation industry is NOT the only culprit....the medical device industry is doing the SAME thing,
making changes and circumventing the process of approval because of$$$$$.

make sure modifications are ''MOVED thru the process'' EXPEDITIOUSLY to ensure profits are increased.....Unbelievable...….think you MIGHT want to rethink your position on BOEING

NOT JMO...…...And just reported that another pilot was ''DEADHEADING'' on a flight that
had the SAME problem and he SAVED the bird from crashing...…( I can post link if you wish)

SC......it is not just this industry....I subscribe WSJ and MEDSCAPE and about 1 year ago
they were reporting MEDICAL DEVICES (implanted) were doing the same ''WORK AROUND'' to save time and $$$$$. Which translates to patient READMISSIONS and REPAIR IF they experience malfunction or complications from the implanted device. There are several lawsuits working thru the courts because of NON DISCLOSURE or blatant disregard for
the implications....

FYI....for MORE $$$$$.....BOEING (FAA=BOEING) deemed TWO FEATURES MANDATORY FOR SAFTEY( ON THE NEW VERSION) as add ons (EXTRA OPTIONS) and charged more $$$$ for those options.....review above link to understand WHICH AIRLINES shelled out
EXTRA MONEY FOR YOUR SAFETY......FAA is negligent and should be held accountable...jmo
