.430,000 flew into the US in the time period that China told the WHO that the virus existed until Jan 31. After President Trump halted flights in Jan, the only people coming in were U.S. Citizens or green card holders.
How did deaths result from as you say "the virus was more serious than admitted"? Should be a simple question for you to answer since you made the statement.

You're right. I was wrong - sorry. It was 40,000. It is still not zero.
Even after the order went into effect on February 2, some 40,000 people – traveling on 279 flights – have arrived in the U.S. from China, according to the analysis from the New York Times based on data collected in both countries.
It is funny that the Left thinks this news is groundbreaking. Any smart person realized this Wuhan Flu was a big deal and that the President was just hoping it wouldn't hit us as hard as China. Just imagine how many less casualties we would have had if East Coast governors hadn't thrown Covid patients into senior citizen care centers.

Answer this: Would you deny U.S. citizens entry back into the U.S.?
No, I would not deny them entry back into the U.S. Why do you and Fred keep trying to box me into that? I have never implied that action.
Trump, knowing the danger of the virus and the infection spread rate, should have implemented precautions on those returning. Why didn't he do that? It's a virtual certainty that the virus was carried back by U.S. citizens returning.

THAT is such a laughable statement...HE KNEW THIS WAS GOING TO REALLY F.U. HIS AGENDA,SO HE HID IT. And yes, any person with credible knowledge of the situation would have been alarmed. THE
CREDIBLE KNOWLEDGE WAS COVERED UP.....end of story...."it will be like a miracle and will go away"

The president was hoping? Why didn't he implement more precautions?
Just imagine how many less casualties we would have if Trump had done his job to protect the American public.
Kookie,
It is not necessary to try to box you in. You put your self in it by citing the 40K allowed into the U.S. However it is good of you to not disallow U. S. citizens from entering the U.S.
Then you state:
Trump, knowing the danger of the virus and the infection spread rate, should have implemented precautions on those returning. Why didn't he do that? It's a virtual certainty that the virus was carried back by U.S. citizens returning."
President Trump listened to Drs. Fauci and Brix, as to what steps to take. Evidently they did not share your "virtual certainty". By the way do you have any evidence that the virus was carried back by U.S. citizens?

Did he listen to experts? Or did he take away some sort of hybrid "Trump understanding?" You don't know. I don't know. What we do know is that Trump understood (by his own admission) that the virus was more deadly than he told us early on, and that it easily spread through the air. Since he knew that, why didn't he do more to limit the exposure people had to each other?
It's a marvel to watch conservatives try to place the blame onto others for this administration's poor response to the pandemic.
If as you imply, he did not listen to the "experts" would you not have expected those "experts" to speak out. This is their area of specialty and again as you imply lives where at stake would they not have be derelict in their medical duty not to inform the people by going public with their information?
Have you been watching Trump for the past 4 plus years? Anyone who disagrees with him, or crosses him, gets fired.
It must be an interesting choice for people like Brix & Fauci - "Do I go against what Trump is saying and save lives, or should I just shut up so that I can stay in this position and possibly save more lives?"
You could see the chaos on the face of Brix when Trump suggested injecting disinfectant. What could she do? Speak up to save people that actually might inject bleach, so should she say nothing against Trump's suggestion so that, in her position, she might be able to do more good? It's the lesser of two evils.
