Department of Veterans Affairs: The agency announced Thursday that more than 1,000 employees were dismissed “effective immediately,” including some probationary employees, claiming the personnel changes would save the department more than $98 million annually.

U.S. Forest Service: More than 3,400 employees were fired Thursday, including positions at each level of the agency, two people familiar with the firings told Politico.

Small Business Administration: Some probationary employees at the agency received emails notifying them of their terminations, before another email said the initial notices were a mistake, only to be notified in a third email on Tuesday confirming their firings, outlets reported.

Office of Personnel Management: Probationary employees at the office were let go Thursday, a union official with the American Federation of Government Employees told NPR, adding about 100 people were present in a video call notifying the staffers of their dismissal because they declined to take the Trump Administration’s resignation offer.

Consumer Financial Protection Bureau: The union that represents workers at the financial agency said about 73 of its members had been terminated, after the agency—which has drawn ire from Trump’s tech allies—was ordered to stop all work, though union leaders and the Trump administration reached a deal Friday that agency employees won’t be terminated while litigation challenging the cuts is still pending.

National Nuclear Safety Administration: An employee at the agency—which oversees nuclear weapons in the U.S.—told NPR the agency would fire about 300 of the agency’s 1,800 staff, though the Trump administration is now reportedly trying to hire some of those employees back.

General Services Administration: More than 100 people were affected by layoffs at the agency responsible for the federal government’s real estate portfolio, three people familiar with the matter told Reuters.

When Musk bought Twitter, he fired about 80% of employees. There were a few hiccups but now it is doing better than ever.

The Biden Administration was trying to prop up the economy by hiring more government employees. Probably 50% of them could be let go and no one would notice.

These employees would have months to get Actual productive jobs instead of being leeches.

IF u had been paying attention AND U R 65 ....the payments to doctors via Medicare were REDUCED this year (Jan.1).....how many doctors, who r under significant stress,r getting LESS to see u....how long before they decide I WILL NOT BE ACCEPTING MEDICARE.....oh, and PROJECT 2025 has a plan for further cost cutting methods....u must not be 65. or u would KNOW THIS TIDBIT. The fatal flaw in your opinion is that everything in Project 2025 is fatally flawed. Certainly some of it is, and some of it is very rational. That's true of the entirety of any policy plan, and Project 2025 is not any different than any other policy outline in that regard.

You sit there as if you believe, despite all evidence to the contrary, and despite Trump's own statements regarding the outline, that Trump embraces every policy it contains as his own. That's simply not the case, you know its not the case, and yet, just as the collectivists sought, and utterly failed, to establish prior to the last election, you seek to revive the debunked propaganda lie and give it a new life that somehow over the course of the last few months it has somehow been fundamentally transformed into verifiable fact.

It doesn't matter if half of his cabinet contributed to the plan. I'm sure many of the policies Trump already held were included in that plan, and many that he has, and will, oppose are included in that plan. To insist that Trump is bound by the contents of the plan in any way, shape, or form is simply a fabrication for the purpose of propaganda. I'm sure that there are some elements of the plan that many Democrats agree with in principle, that doesn't establish that because they agree with a few parts of the plan that they are beholden to implement the entire plan.

Good points. Plenty of Heritage 2025 people hate the idea of tariffs.
If they could actually replace personal income taxes with tariffs, can you imagine the boon to the US economy? The Rich from all over the world would pay a very high premium to become citizens in America. We would become a Super Monaco.

No taxes, except on the stuff you buy. Would be awesome for the environment. People would actually pay to fix things.
