Wwwwaaaayyyynnne...There is nothing to join --- the Tea Party is a philosophical movement, not an organization that one can join...Saying that movement isn't anyone's only option ---I say I'm grateful to be able to hear the points of view of the Tea Party, because it gives people another direction to go in - much different than the disastrous one you and others who think like you are going in. Also, you say that people forget the the money spent on the stimulus goes into the economy...well...it just came to light that over a million dollars spent in L.A.(?) created only 58 jobs...sounds awfully suspicious to me, and all that money poured into the economy resulted in over 465,000 people filing for unemployment benefits last week...Your messiah's policies are financially destroying this country. Fortunately, you and others like you are in the extreme minority...The majority is in the process of taking this country back from leftists like Barry O, and his "headlight mesmerized" followers such as youself. You know, when he loses his bid for re-election, if he lasts that long, the first thing he'll do, after blaming the republicans, and Beck and Hannity, is to cry "racism" ...the last gasp of a twisted :Loco: ideology...
"A government big enough to give you everything you want is strong enough to take everything you have." Thomas Jefferson
Love that one. And our government has gotten so big in the last few years that they could take everything from us if they wanted.
For one thing, Vike old boy, they have succeeded in taking over about 60% of our economy...and if you listen to the most dangerous man in America, (after Barry O, that is) - Cass Sundstein --- he who says that "once you realize that the American people have a bit of Homer Simpson in them, they can be controlled"...(or words very close to that), they are going to try to take more of everything...
I can't believe that Wayne really thinks that a demonstration gathering of Daily Show listeners will really make any kind of statement. Trying to outdo Glenn Beck with a gathering of stoners won't accomplish anything, because they will forget to go out and vote. Have a great trip Wayne. ( pun intended )

I saw a serious discussion on the Chris Matthews show on if this rally can save the dem's in November. Whistling past the grave yard me thinks.
It's NOT ABOUT "trying to outdo Glenn Beck." The teabaggers are so wrapped up in their dogma they won't even "get it." (Although, I fully expect them to try to make it so...)
I, for one, find it so satisfying that the only response the progressives are ever able to come up with is a derogatory name to call those who disagree with them rather than a defense of their bankrupt ideology. It gives me great hope that there will indeed be a change coming this November in the makeup of Congress.
You guys are already jumping to the conclusion that the rally will ONLY be about "progressives" / "socialists" / "lefties" / "Dems" / ad nauseum, (take your pick). I don't suppose it occurred to you that all the rest of the GOP who think the tea-partiers have gone off the rails and don't like what they see, might be candidates for such a rally too? (Hint: the TEA-Party does NOT represent the whole of the conservative side of the fence...)
