Figure at least minimum wage, 2,080 hours for full time employees, leased space, utilities, start up costs, etc. Now consider that though mortgage rates are near all-time lows, not many can re-finance without at least a very good credit rating. Is a small business loan so much easier, or are we going to set up the next wave of bankruptcy?
And that has what to do with the fact that "Only 4.3 percent of the total U.S. businesses are small businesses that make more than $250,000 a year"?
19.5 Million have no employees, and an additional 4.5 million have between 1 & 9 employees.
The non-employee businesses average $40,000 in receipts gross revenue
The small businesses that make over $250,000 in income per year include best selling authors, such as President Obama, Sarah Palin, Dan Brown, etc., law firm partners making millions, entertainers, artists, and others in similar earning capacities who operate as partnerships, sole proprietorship, LLCs, etc.

Or another way to think of it based on the above, 5.5 million small businesses employ between 1 an 9 people. I'd like to see more info on them, since these are what Obama is depending on to end the recession.
I'll bet the majority employ less than 4 people. So how will this solve near 10% unemployment and with a federal government that refuses to enforce our immigration laws? The numbers don't come close to adding up.
Thats not really the point, how will the middle class and small business end the recession? If your math is creative enough, there will be other administration openings soon.
Yes...It IS the point. Only 4.3% of small businesses make over $250K. Extending the tax-cuts to the top 3% of the population is estimated to cost $1.1Billion, and the people in that bracket are not going to be hurt by paying an extra 3.9% on their income OVER the first $250K, (which is the same rate under Reagan), and the whole argument over "hurting small business job-creation" is shown to be a load of garbage and nothing more than a GOP talking-point.
