Will you bear arms?

Just saying:

I agree with you except for one thought, and that is the right to have a different opinion. As a veteran I know that is what I served for, to allow these idiots the right to be stupid!!

The true fact is that the Progressive movement has hijacked the Democratic Party. This country is bowing to all the Liberal and Socialist Agendas because they have been trying to get these agendas going for over 60 years. Knowing that they have screwed up the country, the left is still pushing all their agendas because they know that some of them will stick somehow and that maybe someday they can get back in power again, and any that stick will make it easier to forward more of these ideas.

There has been a dumbing down of America, there has been a rotting of the value system. There has been a battle against religion. There has been a battle for the Gay agenda. Now there is a battle directly against the American Way, whether or not the libs on this forum will ever admit it!. The Extreme Left wants to turn this country into a European style country even though those same countries are trying to change back to what we have. Look at Greece! Look at France, nah, never mind. I have many reasons to hate the French, but I won't go into that now. Socialism is failing in Europe, but once you teach someone that they can get things for free you have created a monster.

Our value system has gone to hell, thanks Bill Clinton and your fellow Socialists. We no longer have respect even for the Presidency, unless we think " He is just like me." Anyone who approves of this destruction of our country and values has an agenda of his/her own, and not the Country at heart!

I don't have to answer the question of this topic, there are enough people here who know me and therefore know the answer!

You lost your argument on this statement

Now there is a battle directly against the American Way

The American way according to who? you? the Republicans? the religious right? What makes your opinion the right one (no pun intended) and the progressive opinion the wrong one? How arrogant that you think only conservatives want what is best for America, I'm sorry but you are not the god of America, and your opinion counts for no more than any other American.

The 'American way' according to our founders. That's who.

Whether you like it or not, God was part of our founders' beliefs and belief in God was inherent in the drafting of our founding documents.

There are a lot of arguments that can be made about what the 'American way' is all about, but your insistence that God is not part of our country's heritage and value system is perhaps the most damning.

In God we trust. Not leftists like you.

By the way...Happy Halloween. Enjoy your night.

Please Nmysys, quit reading Pinejob's words and read mine. I NEVER argued against the right to express an opinion. In fact, I acknowledged and supported it as an inherent right. I only argued against the implementation of the leftists' opinions.

God? whose God?? just yours? That is NOT what the founders intended.....it is why we have a nation with religious freedom, yet the religious right would take that freedom and make this nation only about their God......

It disgusts me that anyone would try to so distort what this nation is all about and try to make it just a Christian nation......in this country ALL religions are welcome.

In God we Trust....yes....in whatever God an American chooses to worship, and guess what......any American also has the right NOT to worship any god at all. Freedom, that is what we have....but you don't want freedom for others, just for you and those like you. That is what scares me so much about the shift to the right, in the name of conservative values they take away the freedoms of others and call it patriotism. the founding fathers would be appalled.

Yes, Archer, America allows you to be a Satanist, if you so choose. And believe me, it shows.

But, for the rest of us, "In God we trust"...with a capital "G".

wrong again....I happen to be a Christian, Southern Baptist originally, Lutheran now. But you see, I practice what I preach, I believe everyone has the right in this country to believe in what ever god they want, or not to. that is freedom. Apparently you believe in dictating what people should believe, that is NOT freedom, at least not in this country.

yes it is in "God" we trust....no specific god, not in "Jesus" we trust....or in "Budda" we trust.....just the generic "god".......which means different things to different people. Try as you will this country was never intended to be a one religion nation.....the founders, you are so fond of referring to....were smart enough to protect us from people like you.

The only problem is we're at war with a group who believes "In Allah we trust" ... with a capital "A."

And the strange thing is, the God of the Old Testament is the Allah of the Koran. And Jesus is in both, too.

So it comes down to our version is better than your version.

Are you really THAT senile? I AGREE--and have stated so many times--that people have a right to worship however and whomever they choose. At the same time, I believe everybody worships something and way too many people worship the wrong things.

There was a reason "IN GOD WE TRUST" ended up on our money. Think about that.
