Five members of an Israeli family were killed Friday night when a suspected terrorist broke into their home in the West Bank settlement of Itamar and stabbed them all to death. The 12-year-old daughter who returned home from a friend’s house discovered the bodies. According to police, the suspect broke into the house armed with a knife and stabbed the mother, father and three children, aged 11, three and a three-month-old baby. Two infants, aged 2 and 4, survived the attack while escaping to their neighbors.
One of the paramedics who arrived at the scene described the horrific sights “We could not help the first four stab victims. Following an inspection of the scene I spotted an infant of about three who still had a pulse. We engaged in lengthy resuscitation efforts but had to pronounce him dead,” he said. “The murder scene was shocking. Kids’ toys right next to pools of blood.”
Unfortunately this family will be added to the following list:

"Itamar, a religious Jewish settlement in the hills of the northern West Bank, close to the Palestinian city of Nablus, is home to some of the West Bank’s most fervent settlers, and it is frequently in the midst of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. The overnight attack is the first attack against settlers in months and the first of its kind and scope in years. It marks a rare outburst of violence during a relatively calm period."
Abbas' double game: He tips Fatah to quietly endorse Itamar murders
DEBKAfile Exclusive Report March 12, 2011, 10:35 PM (GMT+02:00)
Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas received a stern ticking-off when he called Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu Saturday, March 12, to condemn the savage murder Friday night by Palestinian terrorists of the parents and three small children of an Israeli family while they slept at their home at Itamar on the West Bank. The Prime Minister, knowing Abbas had quietly tipped Fatah heads to endorse the perpetrators, accused him of hypocrisy. Does Abbas want to stir up another Palestinian uprising?
But this problem won't change, no matter how many Peace Accords are tried. The Middle East is, and always has been a hotspot of fighting, including a lot of infighting between tribes.
I would not want to be the one to piss the Israeli's off. The do not have the patinences they once had. And they will defend themselves and find those that do violence upon them. Rightfully so. They have a very well trained military and are not afraid to use it.
