1. that immigration, illegal or not, related crime is at a low and has been for some time.
2. Most of the people bitching about illegal aliens likely have a relative or ancestor who came here illegally and therefor are Hippocrates (just about the worse kind of human, even worse than people who illegally cross borders).
I don't think it has to do with people around here hating less, we know that is not true. Someone has to be blamed for what we don't like about ourselves or our accomplishments, someone has to be beaten down or how will we rise to the top again.
Seems like people around here suffer from the same thing that radical muslims do...if they hear news from another culture, they freak out and want to kill people. So those who want to kill and box up other people are all in the same stupid group to me. Billybob with a gun in America or Mohomed in Afghanistan with the same gun, or Miguel in Mexico with the same gun, wanting to kill for the same exact reason....ignorance and hate.
Hating is just too much fun to give up, we just redirect it over and over.
Don't forget to protect and freak out about unborn babies so that you can save you killing quota for adults.
Or is this just something you like to believe? I don’t know of any of my ancestors who arrived here illegally, I have some who arrived before there was a United States and some who arrived prior to WWII via Elis Island.“Most of the people bitching about illegal aliens likely have a relative or ancestor who came here illegally”?

Just one of many links1 Year Later, Robert Krentz’s Murder is Still Unsolved
Slaying of border rancher still a mystery 1 year later
Authorities have identified ‘person of interest’ but haven’t found him even with Mexico’s help
The murder of a prominent Cochise County rancher that triggered a nationwide outcry about border security remains unsolved a year later.
Investigators have identified a man who fits the description of the possible killer – a tall, cross-border smuggler with a violent criminal record. But they don’t know for sure if he’s in the U.S. or Mexico – or if he’s dead or alive.

If you make it tough on Illegals they move on.....Arizona's Illegal Alien Population Declined After Passing Mandatory E-Verify Law
A new report from the Public Policy Institute of California indicates that Arizona's illegal aliens population declined after the state passed the Legal Arizona Workers Act in 2007 that required all businesses to use E-Verify.
According to PPIC's research, Arizona's illegal alien population fell 17% or by 92,000 from 2008 to 2009. Arizona is one of three states that requires all its employers to use E-Verify. Mississippi and South Carolina also require all companies to check new hires with the workplace verification tool.

Exactly....tough state laws do nothing but move the problem on to another state, This has to be addressed nationwide.....so tell me again.....what plans do the Republicans and the Tea Party in the House have for tackling the illegal problem? Do they have a plan? do they care? or will they just kick it on down the road till they lose the house and can blame Democrats again. Neither party seems willing to stick their neck out and actually propose something.....so much for the changes promised by tea partiers and Republicans this last election. Once again it's business as usual....make a lot of promises, get elected, be unwilling to tackle the tough/unpopular issues.
