On the federal level the repubs have done exactly the same thing as the Dems Nothing which is exactly why some states have decided they needed to act. It is not Arizona's problem that California, Nevada, Colorado and other states are becoming more attractive to illegals. And if Colorado were to get tough on illegals they might move on again to some place more hospitable. Eventually more and more states will get tired of the illegals and the problems they bring. Once a tipping point is reached , the feds will have to act.

Republicans on the House Administration Committee want to shore up voter registration rules in the wake of a Colorado study that found as many as 5,000 non-citizens in the state took part in last year’s election.
Rep. Gregg Harper (R-Miss.), the panel’s chairman, called the study “a disturbing wake-up call” that should cause every state to review its safeguards to prevent illegal voting.
