52 to 20!!! It's almost the kind of score you'd expect from a basketball game. Headed to Dallas next, they'll have the home field advantage but I'm not sure it's going to matter based on Dallas's performance so far this season.
In other news, Barry says he'll veto the bill that Congress passed to shut down the Gubment. Seems a little hypocritical to me coming from a man that has been critical of the Congress for being deadlocked and not passing other legislation. I think that a Gubment shutdown is what this country needs; Americans need to be shocked out of their entitlement minded views back to reality. If you want healthcare, housing, education, and incomes that pay a living wage get out there and earn them instead of settling for what the Gubment will give you (while other people's money lasts)!
Broncos are 3 & 0! Let's see how they do tomorrow against the Filthadelphia Eagles. In the meanwhile I've got the beginnings of a pot of green chili on the stove and all the fixings on hand for a monster brunch tomorrow, blue and orange pancakes included. GO BRONCOS!!!
Von Miller suspended for six games. Very disappointing but if he did what the NFL says he did then he'll have to pay the penalties just like any other player and it looks like the truth is out. Von is the last guy on the team I would have expected this kind of behavior from but it is what it is. Prayers and positive wishes to Von, I hope he can rebound and continue his career in the NFL as the successful young man he has the potential to be.
Preseason just a few days away, Broncos at 49ers 8 August @1900 local! I hope Von Miller is not suspended but if he did violate the rules then he will have to pay his dues. The loss of Koppen for the season (and hopefully not any longer than that) isn't going to help either.
Important discoveries I have made over the years: When frying bacon it's a good idea to wear pants. Always drink upstream from the herd. Never look directly up at a bird. Don't squat with your spurs on. If you're told not to touch something, it's probably a good idea to leave it alone.
