More info on search and rescue. Colorado Task Force One/Urban Search and Rescue (COTF1) was deployed by the State of Colorado with a Type III team to perform wide area searches and search burned out structures at the Lower North Fork fire this morning. A Type III team consists of 34 members.
Checked on the fire this afternoon and took some pictures, but too hazy to see where the smoke is. With binoculars we could see flames and from our location it looked like it was in the same area, not travelling at the moment. The concern though is that the wind was picking up. On the plus side, there wasn't much smoke showing near the Kuehster area.

Thank you 285bound and mtntrekker. Family never received a reverse 911 on Monday. I put down my work and decided to check out 285bound cuz I hadn’t been there for awhile. I saw trekker’s post about a burn ban in effect in Platte Canyon so flipped on the scanner. Heard about the fire, hunted down family at work who came home and packed. They got out ahead of the fire.
Our thoughts and prayers are with our neighbors and families who lost their homes, the evacuees and firefighters.
