Sending prayers.

When we went up higher to see the smoke, the fire was crowning headed up Keuhster.

Haven't heard from our Keuhster friends. We know a number of people evacuating on Pleasant Park. A number of friends got together and are helping. One family will stay with us and another will stay with her parents in Bailey.

Electrical power is out on Pleasant Park.

Can anyone tell me what the status is regarding evac for Richmond Hill. My aunt lives over there and I haven't been able to reach her.

Richmond Hill is in the opposite direction of fire and about 3 miles from origin of fire at Foxton/River. She should be fine unless the wind changes direction.

Thanks Wily. At one point they were talking about evac for Richmond Hill mostly because of ingress/egress issues. My sister is going to go check on her. She shouldn't have any problems getting in there then, I hope.

all roads south of Foxton are fine. We live in Green Valley Ranch, which is the neighborhood between Foxton and Richmond Hill. Winds are still blowing and gusts are coming through but winds are still blowing everything from SW so pushing fire NE from here. There are power outages in area as well, so maybe she is without power and that is why you can't call and get through. http://www.pinecam.com/phpBB2/viewtopic ... 03#1352903

Here is WXgeek's weather update

Winds are from the southwest currently so all fires will be moving in a northeasterly direction. Winds are expected to become more westerly tonight, so fires will shift to a more easterly direction. Of course, fires will always creep uphill up to perpendicular to the direction the fire is moving. Wind speeds should diminish some after sunset, but will remain breezy overnight with speeds in the 10-25 mph range til midnight to 3 am and then diminish even more towards sunrise. Hopefully this will provide firefighters the break they need to begin containment efforts. With winds as they currently are, there is no hope for any containment work. Winds should be much lighter Tuesday from the southwest at 5-15 mph, but relative humidity will remain low so fires will continue to spread and fire danger will remain high.

As I recall, the forecast earlier showed winds for both today and tomorrow. But now it looks like good news that the winds will die down tomorrow. I just hope the fire fighters can get things under control by tomorrow since it looks like winds may again pick up on Wed. Wishing the best for all those close to this fire.

These are from a couple hours ago. I have not been doing so well since earlier when I was out in this. Coughing, headache and really sore throat. Good luck to you all, my thoughts are with you. If I can help anyone please don't hesitate to ask.
