Hopefully there isn't much damage. Prayers sent for everyone in the danger zone.

Looking southeast from 285 across Crescent City view Mountain community toward billowing smoke of Lower North Fork Fire.

Topographic map shows the North Fork River on the East side of City view mountain Community. Lower North Fork suggests the fire is downstream more from this location. Can't be sure, but from the pictures it looks like it is located on the south-east side of the mountain housing City View Residents.

It came up a lot faster than anyone expected.... We drove out from house (we live 4 miles up Kuehster)... with flames on both side of the road and 'maybe' 20' visibility. House is most likely gone, like many up Kuehster... Only hope is that everyone got out ok like us....

netdude, I am so, so sorry to hear this and pray that your home was spared. I am relieved that you and your lovely wife escaped unharmed. Please, please let me know what I can do for you both. And if you don't, I'll be telling you later! :)

Peace to you both.

Good job guys. Great pics.

I was on an appointment today in Genessee. When I got there, the fire they had was really small. By the time I left it had also grown pretty big.
Prayers for all that have been so tragically affected by this fire.
Glad prayers were answered for the deputies who found themselves in a bad spot.
