Park County Sheriff video NO FIRES OR SHOOTING

From the Flume article it appears that only those from out of county were issued tickets.

And by Freddie's own admissions he had instructed deputies to issue warnings even though he told 9news tickets would be issued and 'we mean it'. What a liar he is.

Freddie continues to show how poor his leadership is and why we need a new Sheriff and Undersheriff. They remind me of the crooked police in Chile. Maybe just hand them some money under the table?

As for you Alpine Mike I have no respect for any person who thinks it is ok to let an official continue his unethical behavior. By allowing people to slide, he endangers our entire community. It only takes one ember to burn out many square miles.

Has the ban on shooting firearms been lifted in Park County yet?

Even as I write this I have to wonder why I'm bothering. It's pretty obvious how this is going. Maybe if I can slow down the hating a bit I will be worth my time...

To begin with I'd have to make the observation that the way Park County's fire ban was enforced would seem to have been successful. There were no new fires after the Springer Gulch/Teller County arson fires. Zero fires threatening anyone's home is a win, regardless of critics' opinions.

Now to move on to what this thread is really all about. The tone of this is painfully transparent. Regardless of what the PCSO does or doesn't do some posters find a way to go totally overboard in attacking the Sheriff. How freaking childish. And boring.

And finally, there is no way I would presume to offer up serious critism of (for instance) how Pat Bowlin runs the Broncos or even think I know more about it than those who have been there and done that. That's insane.

So for an annomoyous Internet poster to Monday morning quaterback how a deputy whose boots are on the ground handles a situation is both arrogant and presumptious. It's also a load of BS. Until you've been involved in enforcement and people management you have no idea of the whys and wherefores.

Of course if you are motivated by blind hatred and are not personally involved with dealing with a complicated situation first hand, then I guess they had better listen to my advice on how to run the Rockies because I know as much about that as the posters on here know about real world law enforcement.

Give it a freaking rest.

The bolded is NEVER going to happen........because THAT type of person will always want something t whine/bitch about......here's the plain and simple truth.......EVERYTIME the county asks for tax hike it gets voted down......Parkco is a very large rural county that
is VERY poor. You get what you pay for.......don't expect premium people,when the pay scale is minimal and almost NOT a decent
living wage........case in point......Road and Bridge,Parkco is the training ground for road work and when the operator gets enough
experience he moves on to Jeffco for a HIGHER wage,better life. As the above poster stated..... GIVE IT A FREAKING REST.......you
do what you can with the LITTLE that you have......JMO

Ok probably shouldn't be here. Been with a sis who has been traumatized by the theater shootings. Left her with my mom so I could watch for smokes and not in any mood. I will be good and not give you both barrels.

So it is ok if you have a stupid sheriff because he is underpaid. I don't give a crap what his pay is he can still do a good job. If he tells the press one thing and does another, he is poor representative of the county. Really there are other sheriffs in other counties who don't get good pay and still manage to do a good job.

How can anyone condone his behavior (article from The Flume) allowing one business to have campfires cuz he has a business while all the others have to comply with the fire ban. How much more stupid can this sheriff get?

Do your friggin job sheriff or get out.

UNFORTUNATELY, the VOTERS of this community decided that you are in error.........the last election had an individual who believed
HE could do the job much better than the present individual........GUESS who won the election? The general populace will NOT take
the time to do research and will remain with the status quo.......because it is EASIER than actually doing the work of researching.

The OTHER probable reason is the ordeal of Emily Keyes and the public sentiment regarding that tragedy.........JMO

I have been informed that the location in Pike Nat'l Forest where I would like to shoot is within the Platte Canyon Fire District. Their website indicates that there is still a ban on shooting firearms. I suppose that their website is up to date.
