When I was in Estes park a few years ago, we watched some Elk on the golf course, they seemed pretty calm. I heard later that one of them got a bit aggressive with the tourists and golfers and supposedly the DOW or rangers sawed off his antlers, and he was fine after that. Not sure if true, but it seemed a bit intrusive to me. They need those antlers for defense.

Did the Park Cty deputies do this after they shot the keg? Think the police will get treated leniantly or made an example of? I would guess they will get a mild hand slap and soon be back at work. A candlelight vigil for the dead Elk. H
