I wish I had known, I would have busted out a couple of Elk roasts and cooked 'em off then shared them with the folks at the vigil.
I can explain it to you but I can't understand it for you.

Corruptissima re publica plurimae leges; When the Republic is at its most corrupt the laws are most numerous. - Publius Cornelius Tacitus
Hey don't get me wrong guys. What those officers did was wrong as rain. They should get in a whole lot of trouble and that was a trophy elk. But a vigil is just plain stupid in my book. It changes nothing. Put your efforts into something that makes a difference.

lol :rofllol :can't hear
There is a candlelight vigil at 5:30 p.m. in Boulder to 'celebrate life' of the elk killed by a police officer.
That's a bit silly, yep only in Boulder.
I wonder if those same Boulderites would hold vigils in Craig, Walden, or Gunnison in the fall? Plenty of dead elk in pick ups and trailers around town, very often with out of state plates.
Stupid carpetbaggers coming in and killing our innocent Elk!!!!
Will the Boulder PD start creating a fictional history of the Elk to justify the shooting?
1) He prevented a federal employee, a postman, from delivering the mail, a felony charge.
2) The Elk was seen vandalizing poltical signs for the Green and Democrat Party.
3) The Elk refused to seperate and put its waste in the proper recycling bins.
