A weak upper level low will slowly move across the region through
tonight and bring a good chance of snow to the mountains.
Accumulations will range from 2 to 4 inches north of I-70 with 3 to
6 inches south of I-70. In the foothills there will be a chance of
snow as well late this afternoon and tonight with accumulations of 1
to 3 inches possible. Over the plains there will be a chance of
light snow tonight mainly south of a Denver to Akron line with
accumulations of an inch or less.

A cool and moist airmass will settle over northeast Colorado today. This will result in low clouds and possibly fog through tonight. An upper level system will bring scattered snow showers to the mountains this afternoon and tonight. Snow accumulation will be less than 2 inches.

For today and tonight:

A weak upper level weather system will move across northern
Colorado this morning producing a few snow showers over the higher
elevations. Drier air will spread across the outlook area this
afternoon with this system exiting the state. Any snow
accumulation will be minimal and generally confined to west
facing slopes above timberline. Otherwise dry conditions will
prevail today and tonight with temperatures remaining slightly
