Yes she is major bean....she is my best friend along with being my mom.......we had our years of rocky relationships (she never liked my ex, I should have listened to her).

At 93 she still lives on her own, just recently gave up her 2nd home in FL and her car (boy, that was tough on everyone) she teaches duplicate bridge and plays duplicate bridge several days a week....works out at the gym, still knits enough to keep half the US warm in the winter....and is an avid reader and writer. She writes a journal entry every night and has done that for over 60 years.

When I grow up I want to be just like her


ps....she puts her makeup on as soon as she gets up in the morning, and never ever goes out of the house looking less than perfect. It's a generational thing I think.

Well excuse me it it's only been four months since the hospital screwed up and killed her if I choose not to put her picture up in the forums for abuse.

The executive director of Human Rights Watch is criticizing the United States for killing terrorist leader Osama bin Laden without due process.

Kenneth Rothopined on bin Laden’s death via his Twitter account (@KenRoth), taking aim at comments made by the U.N.’s secretary-general: “Ban Ki-moon wrong on #Osama bin Laden: It’s not “justice” for him to be killed even if justified; no trial, conviction”.

Mr. Ban had called bin Laden’s killing “a watershed moment in our common global fight against terrorism,” adding that personally he was “very much relieved by the news that justice has been done to such a mastermind of international terrorism.”


I have to say this should be talked about. I am realistic to understand why we had to do it this way but I don't think they were careful enough and the cheering really bothered me from the get go. But there was no way they were going to get him out of there alive.

I wouldn't put her up there because some folks are using the pictures of moms as a method by which to insult the poster of said picture. And at that point, I'm going to take it real personal and offline, something I don't advocate doing ever - some of us remember that summer all too well- so if there is nothing for them to play with, then there is no reason for me to get real personal with them.

And it does have something to do with politics - local politics, forum politics, as people use others avatars as weapons against them. I do believe you've already called someone out on crap like that just this week.

Which is why my avatar is what it is - make fun of that - I think it's pretty messed up too!

I just liked the idea of showing our moms pictures with Mothers day coming soon.....I'm not sure why some are using them as an excuse to be obnoxious, I guess even a picture of Bambi would bring out the worst in some people.

Thank you to those who chose to honor their moms this way, and a total "I understand completely" to those who chose not to. I guess we never get past the political messages here......
