Trust me, you DO NOT have to be "Muslim" to have problems with Israel's attitude towards Palestine.

It is easy for someone to sit on the side and pay attention to the mainstream media's take on Israel and have a feel good attitude towards the poor peaceful Palestinians who only want to have their land ( as they say ) back from the occupiers, Israel, without understanding any of what the people of Israel have lived through for 63+ years, being totally surrounded by a 1,000 to 1 number of people who want nothing but to destroy them, because you see images of children created by the media to touch your heartstrings. What you haven't paid attention to is the children of Israel murdered on school buses by those poor peaceful Palestinians. You haven't paid attention to the people killed by suicide bombers or by missiles fired against them. You haven't had to live with the terror of wars started by those poor peaceful Palestinians and Jordanians, and Syrians, etc.

You only know what you want to believe. Nothing will change your mind until it is too late, when we start having suicide bombers here in our own country, as a result of this man child Muslim loving charlatan that you helped elect.

He is betraying everything that I believe this country has stood for and you are blind to what he is doing. He is helping the Muslims take over the world in my opinion, while you listen to talking points from the mainstream media defending what he is doing, and you believe it is all for the sake of peace. Pathetic!

Try again, oh "Genuis" one. The last time I watched "mainstream media" was during the Japan earthquake. I watch tv news maybe five times a year TOTAL. I stopped reading pre-digested mainstream media newspapers during the Bush administration. My attitudes are not formed by "what they want me to see".

The whole middle east is a violent place where as far as I can see, no "side" has much respect for human life other than their own 'tribal" alliances. Israel is no exception.

If we end up with suicide bombers here, it will more likely be BECAUSE of our unquestioning support of Israel than anything else.

Well that is over now, isn't it? Obama just threw them under the bus, and if we end up with suicide bombers it will be because you helped elect a closet Muslim who is now helping the Muslims take over the world and the people he is aligning with still hate the rest of us, don't lose sight of that part.

The President is not a Muslim, nor is he "helping the Muslims take over".

As painful as it is, Nym is right up to a point. The pres, once again, has managed to piss off a close ally. I am certainly not in agreement that Israel is the poor innocent victim of the ruthless Palestinians but I also think that we should reserve our '67 borders comments for those times when Israel reacts to something with acutely lopsided force and murders a whole city. Nym is right in this - the Palestinians will never be our allies nor will most mid-eastern countries.
