He KNOWS that even if he gives them everything but that, they will still say 'no'... He will PROVE to the American Public that the GOP is only interested in saying 'No'; (and they already have a 55% negative rating)...And then he is free to take them down. He will lead them right down the path to going on record that they want to cut CURRENT SS payments to retirees; they want to throw seniors off of Medicare; they want to screw the disabled and poor off of Medicaid... As soon as they've done that, it's over ....

Exactly..Obama is playin them like a fiddle...He's doing a masterful job, a virtual virtouso performance

I think he'll being saying "CHECK MATE!" tonight..And I already have my microwave popcorn and Dr Pepper ready for the show

He has done a horrible job at being a leader, he delegated this task last May to "joe its easy being VP, you don't have to do anything Biden"

Its only the last few weeks Obama gave up his golf games and fund raisers to work on this. And he still has not figured out he is not 100% in control anymore. "elections have consequences" was what he said I think.

He is a poor leader and poor negotiator.

"There was less money coming in so we had to spend even more... " Barack Obama, from tonight's speech.

I think I'll use that on my checking account.

So much for that, just threw a beer bottle at the TV. Anyone know a good TV repairman?

See, Obama is already improving the economy for TV repair. :)

Not good. I predict a big sell-off in the markets Tuesday.

Someone quote me.

I didn't get any good vibes from those speeches, sounds like each side has drawn the line in the sand. I doubt they will act until there is a market crisis, seems to be what works nowdays. Hold on to your hats! There is already movement in gold, swiss francs, and margin requirements for US Treasury bonds futures and default swap derivatives.
