I have to agree with the above, learning to drive and operate machinery early on a farm is pretty safe.
AV.
And without training? Just because it isn't certified training doesn't mean it isn't worthwhile. I have been through many training classes where I have more experience with the product than the "certified" instructor. And knew better how to use it. Just because they read the book doesn't mean they know what they are teaching.
This over-regulation is getting out of hand in business. Having to pay thousands to auditing companies so they can rubber stamp that we can follow our own procedures is maddening.

This is why people support the government regulating things. Because dumbasses will let 13 year old kids drive semis if they don't.
Sounds like the only dumbass is the one responding in this manner.
Sorry if you didn't like me telling it the way I see it.
In my opinion, allowing a 13 year old to drive a semi on a public road way is dumb as hell.
Where did I say on a public road?
This was your knee jerk reaction.
I already stated it was on BACK ROADS.
Read SLOOOWWWLY and you may comprehend. You would definately not qualify to use any machinery on anything farm related or other.(Washing machines are dangerous)

When someone uses the term "back road" they are generally referring to a public road that isn't a highway, not a private road without public traffic. If that's what you meant, you should have said so. No matter how slowly people read they can't see what isn't there.
As stated YOU DID NOT NEED A LICENSE to drive the backroads. therefore the back roads must not have been considered PUBLIC.
You were lucky to ever see another vehicle.

Yeah, you're so right, better dead than being "barred from entry to a job". :Loco:
You ever live on a farm? Do you have any clue what you are talking about? Or just throwing out random crap to defend your precious big government again?

YOU are clueless as hell and one of the people who keep helping to destroy this country and it's economy!
My brother and I were driving tractor in the fields at 8 years old. We drove down the roads to get there by 10. I drove trucks by 12. We barely scraped by as it was. There was NO WAY we could have hired anyone to do the farmwork and would have gone under immediately. Clueless people like you don't deserve any votes! You are a puppet of the government! And Pathetic! In South Dakota you get your full drivers license at 14. Why is it dumb as hell?
You are the enemy of the farmers and good hard working families of America! You repeat and defend the government no matter how much it hurts lower and middle class America!

AMEN!! They are so beyond clueless when it comes to the reality of farming that they need to just sip their champagne and watch MSNBC for what to say next! People like AV and Washington should stay the hell out of the farmers lives! they did just fine for hundreds of years before they started throwing more regulations at them.
