What the Corridor REALLY Needs is Another Shopping Center

This administration has attempted time and again to STOP THE PRACTICE.... Guess who's stopped it every time? (Crying that "stopping the practice would hurt their bonuses and 'business'... ) I'll bet some people even think that the obscene bonuses those parasites get will somehow trickle-down and make them "job-creators"... Uh-huh... I got a bridge to sell....

So, remind me again, when was that project started and built? Was it possibly before 2008? Why, "Yes, Alex! I'll take 'Unnecessary Shopping Centers' for $400."

"Bad policy" is scraping land to build something on spec (like the Safeway center, like the eyesore at the entrance to Kings Valley, like whatever they have in mind for Shaffer's Crossing...), and then realizing AFTER the damage is done..."Ooops..."

At least we put the brakes on being taxed to build an unnecessary Rec Center....

Gee, didn't they scrap a hill for your driveway and your home? Oh yeah, I forgot....it's your mountains. NEVER MIND.

Wait! Back up a step... there's a bowling alley on the 285 Corridor? Where?

I, for one, am bummed about the Big R going in at Aspen Park Village because I had much bigger and better plans for that space. :)

It died not too long after it opened... Lack of customers who wanted a bowling alley....

But where is/was it? And how long ago was that?

Corner of Mt. Evans Blvd and 285. Been a series of restaurants ever since. Otherwise, next closest bowling alley up here is in Fairplay.

Always wondered why they don't make the empty store next to Checker and Staples a bowling ally? It's big enough and has been sitting empty for almost 2 years. Wonder how it would go over? Heck, kids hang out in that parking lot all the time anyway. Would give them soemthing to do along with something for families to do together up here too.

Good point. And Evergreen might be able to sustain one better than Conifer.
