The bookmakers are saying there is no chance..

Not suprised that you think there is one though :roflol:

It happened less than 44 years ago, LBJ chose not to run.

And at least 10 Presidents didn't live out their term or had severe health complications like Woodrow Wilson (stroke) and Eisenhower (heart attack). Presidents tend to experience high levels of stress, violence, and are usually older than the general population. Reagan and Ford both had assasination attempts against them. Bad guys tried to fly a jet liner into W's home.

Did not read other posts, but I do know from quite a bit of travel in this land, that what people in CO think is likely not representative of the nation. Our world is not that of others. Some would not know the tranquility up here and others cannot figure out why our kids carry guns to school. We may be high and high up, but we cannot see very far from here.

I think he has failed when measured against the expectations he set (too high), but some folks really like this guy. Odds are good that he will get re-elected, odds are better that the owners of the media have already made your decision for you, they just have not finished feeding you yet. Some of you are even considering another TX governor (I mean really, like really), as an example of the media feeding you your options.

I hope for a realist like Paul to be on the ballot, it will be hard, though, when people cannot understand more than soundbites.

As soon a I saw the news that night, I knew it too...and he answered the question so well, like a true thinking American...and somehow Bachman was still a contender after that night?

And and he did not say "let him die" he essentially said he chose to die by not insuring the risk of his having poor health in a system where the BUSINESS OF MEDICINE COSTS a SH*T-TON. That is what makes him a great guy, he leaves the decision to me.

Perhaps the thing that is missing is a release, where the guy has to sign a release (I know another requirement), simply recognizing that he is taking a risk and the release authorizes medical facilities not to treat, that way it does not need to be Paul's or the audiences fault, this guy records his risk and acceptance of consequences for all to see. This could work for so many requirements and burdens on others so you can be safe (like building codes, etc. etc.)
