Obama's Chances of Being Elected?

Yes, but I was worried that those that did not would actually think he said that. They believed it when the saw it on Yahoo and Huffpo.

Yeah..Right

Emergency room nurse: "Ah Sir..I know you just lost your limbs at the Air Show but we have this release that you signed a few years ago in our data base, so we can't do anything for you..Too costly, sorry, you'll have to leave now, youre bleeding all over the lobby...Oh and there's a morgue 2 blocks down on your left"

C'mon-Is that ever gonna happen in the real world?

No in the real world we spend money without considering where it will come from and risks are so old school, or at least paying for them is. You would think that in the real world you don't have to pay for rights.

Is medical care a right or a business, can anyone tell me what they think, you cannot have both? Please don't talk about insurance, as that is not medicine or right.

I recognize that it is run like a business that everyone uses to the point of thinking they need it (like cars and thus car insurance) and since I need it and it is NOT A RIGHT, I insure it and soon will be required to do so. So it smells like a right, but it is not and thus some people simply will not get it until it is A RIGHT....which it will be some day, but not after this law passes and not that I want any of what I am describing. I just want to have the right to spend most of my wealth, once earned, how I see fit. I gladly give up 10% of those that have not, not those that want more. Tell me how you spent my 1st 10% and why it was not enough and I will OFFER you more if you can convince me.

Still all about broader debates that we don't have.

Your post makes me ask what the grocer says to the hungry person that cannot buy food? Does he just give the guy food or does he deny services? Why don't they ask O'bama what the grocer is supposed to do when the hungry person comes in the store and why this is different than when the poor and sick show up at the hospital.

And most important, why are they not mandating food insurance? They could simply enforce it with an IRS penalty. I guess the reality is that it is coming, Kraft and Nabisco are already lobbying for it. Think I am kidding...do your research. In a few years the mandated purchases is ALL we will be debating, wait till ParkCo starts...or continues rather.

I truly ask another question that no one will answer. If you are for the new health insurance Mandate, what are your thoughts on a food insurance mandate? Why would this be appropriate, different, inappropriate or the same?

So you are for shutting down this mandate and getting it paid for out of general taxation? given the option I would go for making it a right vs. insuring it is a business for a long time.

WTF, I am an asshole for trying to get people to talk about it and take a stand? Is that how you operate and reach your goals? I would be glad to pay for the desperate to have health care out of my 10%?

Is food a right? or are you an Asshole hypocrite?

Edit...I just got it you think I am a generic Right winger and thus lashed out at me randomly vs. debating issues. You do realize that this is the problem, on this board, in this country, equally propagated by both "sides". To the right wingers I am left and the lefties I am right because you only hear the stuff that inflames you, read my post, I even said it is not a right now and will be some day, that was an observation of today's facts and a prediction of the future and not an opinion, I also added that I would give up 10% of my income, which Buffetized or not, is likely more than most pay in tax dollars hands down, pretty generous on my part to help fund your perceived right that I again don't understand why rights have to be funded, stuff you buy has to be funded.

Whatever, maybe it is easier just to say something like F*** You and end the discussion.

I just thought this one should be reposted for emphasis on how one makes a point. I really was not expecting this, I though we were talking and I did not make any strong stances for you to posture to, except that of really really really wanting more debate of core issues, not surface issues.

Again, is eating a right?

Oh and I do believe that IF you have a right to health care, you certainly have a right to food. I am not sure you really have a right to have something fundamentally if you have to buy it, regardless if you or I want it to be so. Can you speak to other rights to you have to buy so I can understand, I just cannot think of any.

Would requiring a parent to buy their child's education still allow us to say that education is a right? or would you call it something different if it was just mandated or if to be more parallel, if we required everyone to buy education insurance vs. paying education taxes, would you still call education a right?

This is a discussion, please don't call me names and try to textually stomp your feet to avoid talking.

I'm watching the Rockie game so I can't read your last 3 posts, but I will say your idea of signing a release is absurd by any measure..I can't believe a seemingly functional adult human being could even come up with nonsense like that.

I'm serious

But what level of healthcare? Is it enough to set a broken limb, or do you have a right to millions of dollars spent to keep you alive in a vegatative coma with major brain damage?

You argue like we have been married for decades. Skip around, call me names, change the subject and not answer questions, then say the game is on and you cannot pay attention, but constantly refresh to see who has posted and continue replying. Should we now just realize it was all overwhelming and just make up. Perhaps it is time to talk divorce or just some time off. No lets work on the relationship.

What a cop out, the game, the release is a concept, not a reality, food for thought. I ask some questions, you could answer them or tell me why they are not valid questions, why this is different than that.

Do you feel people have the right to food or are you a royal f***ing asshole by your own standards? Or is health care somehow now more important than food? ..and justifies a whole nother system of redistribution.
