Who wants to get treatment from a self-taught dentist????
How about this ---- why not buy your will and/or estate plans at the corner copy store?
Maybe we could save some money - and let people who are really good with lego blocks build bridges?
How about a military medic, instead of someone who's been to medical school?
I also have a hard time listening to anyone who'd leave the Rockies for Haiti, and holds a "degree" from an unaccredited college.
Wild Bill has a wild CV:
- he claims to have graduated from the "Colorado Law Enforcement Academy" (exact name) I'm unable to find a school with that exact name.
- he claims to have graduated from the "Federal Law Enforcement Academy" (I cannot find a school by that name)

- He claims to have graduated the US Marshal Training Academy - but that's not the name of the academy US Marshals attend
(they attend a generic FLETC - Federal Law Enforcement Training Center - course).
I think this guy is a crock of (fecal matter).
There are legitimate criticisms of the academic enterprise --- this hillbilly isn't one of them.
As a security specialist, Bill has tackled Islamic violence and intimidation head on, recruiting and training security teams to protect missionaries serving around the world. Having studied Islam intensely and seen how it operates first hand, Bill is well qualified to speak out about the dangers this religion presents.
That's a crock of crap, too....... I know how missionaries handle security issues.... and my knowledge isn't limited to my former host country. ...... Cowboy hats and fake badges ain't it.
I still don't think that college is the best or only way to get an excellent education, depending upon what career path one plans to follow. As expensive as a college degree has become, alternatives should be considered, IMO.

One way a college degree makes a person smarter is that you can't go through four years of being exposed to many different ideas and intellects without realizing that the defintion of "smart" is not limited to "people who agree with me".

I'm not buying that. I know many people with college degrees who think that 'smart' means agreeing with them.
