Obama Blocks Texas Voter ID Law

More lies and willful ignorance from the right on this one. The issue is not simply about having ID, but about having acceptable ID, which to the bigots on tthe right means: ID which is current, with no errors, reflecting the citizen's current address. Republicans know lower income folks, students and elderly have a higher likelihood of moving, changing addresses, more frequently, and therefore may not have an updated ID. This gives Republicans the opportunity to limit the numbers of voters - which is their only hope of winning any nationwide election!…minimize the voice of the true majority. This has absolutely NOTHING to do with fighting voter fraud (fiction), and everything to do with fighting the demographics Reps know are more likely to vote against them. I register to vote - that's all the "proof" necessary. Additional ID requirements are onerous and redundant...completely unnecessary, but I understand why Reps feel they need more govt, more legislation, more control - because they're afraid.

Just because you don't think you're a bigot doesn't mean anything - your actions reveal the truth and hatred within you. And no, I will not be tolerant of your intolerance.

*edit* actually, I am tolerant of your intolerance. I respect your freedom to be willful idiots and to have hateful opinions of all that you fear...but I will fight your efforts to have YOUR fears control OUR society.

PV,
The Republicans have won numerous national elections even with the Dems stuffing the voting box in corrupt cities like Chicago, Philly and states like West Virginia.

Democrats are more likely to be poor and move around often? I think you underestimate your own base. Look at the south, where many Republican voters have below average income.

PV,
Don't endorse the sterotypes.

MY OPINION is that you and the rest of the democrats are running scared. This has more to do with what is right than anything, registering to vote is NOT all the proof necessary. Anyone can register under anyones name or address, proving it is all together different. As much as it seems to bother the democrats makes one wonder about the real motive behind it. Getting a state issued photo ID is really simple. Weeds out the illegals, and those that lost the right to vote.

If a person has the means to support himself, he also should have a clue as to how to get an ID. And if a person is too poor to support himself and needs government assistance, does he not need some good form of ID to get it?

The left is angry because they are now being judged by the content of their character and not by the color of their skin.

Since you aren't listening, (again)... The difference is between "some good form of ID" vs. the new state-mandated "forms of ACCEPTABLE ID"...

Rave on...

I think Navy CPO is correct and the Dems are really worried they have lost the moderate voters, the people who were voting for Obama because they wanted to show America wasn't a racist country. And I expect Dem vote fraud to rise to record levels.

DEMS "lost the moderate voters?" rofllol  rofllol

After the War on Women the GOP/Gestapo is waging? You've already lost 18% of your own women in your own party...

You can't make this stuff up... rofllol

I don't think the Dem's made-up "War On Women" has any legs. See what people are talking about next month, $9 birth control or $5 gas.
Just because this issue really resonates with an outlier like you doesn't mean most Americans think it is a #1 issue.
