Thank you for your support and questions - Everyone needs to remember this is politics - so the opposition will always try to discredit you in some form - I suggest you go to my website and click on the Letters of Recommendation Tab - Read the two letters from the Coroner that I worked under - This should give you an idea of what type of job I did for the Summit County Coroners Office. - One reason the current Coroner in Summit does not care for me is because I supported her opponent my employer David B. Joslin in the elections - After she won the election she let the Deputy Coroners go - This is very common when a new elected official takes office for Coroner as they may want their own staff and they want files and cases done a different way - everyone has their own way of doing things.

I'm buying it........
While Dave is not quite passing the sniff test here.
To answer your question regarding changes to the Coroners Office and (CE) - Continuing Education - The CCA - Colorado Coroner's Assc. has an annual convention that would allow me to get the required 16 hours of CE needed to hold office - However there are many other opportunities to receive training such as an outreach program and many other courses held by law enforcement and other entities throughout the state of Colorado as well as I could become Board Certified by taking the course and exam held in St. Louis. As far as change goes with the current office I propose to CUT TAXES by not outsourcing as much as what is happening right now - I plan to write grants for training courses for myself and all Deputies this is one way that I can take some of the burden off the taxpayers' back. I have also started bidding out jobs such as transportation of the deceased and I have bids for less than half of what we are currently paying which right now is $75 to $85 per case. There are many ways to cut the current budget if you have had the experience like I have had in the Cororners Office. This one thing that sets me apart from my opponent - I HAVE WORKED IN THE CORONER'S OFFICE I HAVE DONE THE BUDGETS I HAVE ORDERED THE SUPPLIES NECESSARY FOR ALL DEATH INVESTIGATIONS - I'm aware of what this postion requires first hand. My opponent has stated in the debates and in the Flume that this is a miniscule budget and does not need to be cut - "What isn't broke, doesn't need to be fixed" My answer to that is find a way to CUT and there are several ways to do so - If you know HOW and WHERE. That is why I stand up for YOU the people of PARK COUNTY!

vl if you have watched any of the videos you would know the answer to your question.
you have my vote tammy. not interested in adding to the good ole boys network. sharon morris did an outstanding job in investigating and relating to the families. have seen her in action. i believe you will continue in the same way.

Okay, I admit I had paid NO attention to the coroner's race, wrapped up as I was with the SO stuff, so the Bailey debate I went to was the first time I'd heard anything about either one of them. That being said, I was very unimpressed with Tammy, so I'm wondering why you all are going to vote for her, perhaps you can share some stuff that will change my mind.
At the debate, Tammy was abrasive and snotty when she was addressing the audience - I was taken aback actually by how severe she was. All I could imagine was her trying to make a death notification with that attitude! David on the other hand, was mild-mannered and what he said made sense to me.
Tammy's views on cutting costs by doing her own forensics work disturbed me too, my education being in that field, she seemed not to grasp the value of having such delicate and often questioned-in-court work done in a real lab setting by experts. This immediately sent up red flags for me.
Thoughts?
Tammy, I also wish you well... I live in JeffCo, so I don't have a dog in this fight... So, I ask this question of the forum, and not you...
Based on what I see happening here, as in other local forums, I have to ask: Does this turn into a TeaParty-right-wing vs. anything-else-that's-not tussle like the Sheriff battle? Destroy the opposition at all costs? (So tell me, how does being a coroner fit into the political jihadism that's going on now?)
I guess we'll know pretty soon, because if the same folks line up behind one candidate and begin a pogrom of destruction against the other, we'll obviously have our answer.
