Sorry, I wasn't trying to be snooty or snotty or anything. I was just trying to direct you to where you could find the answer. Again, I am sorry if I came across as snooty or snotty or anything other than helpful!

Good Afternoon Everyone,

My "Plans to Save the County Money" is now up on my website! Once again I'm here checking in to answer questions regardless of what they are. As YOUR next County Official - Coroner. I need to be avalible to ALL county residents and I believe in total transparency. Thank you to everyone that has asked questions and also all the people I met yesterday at Bailey Days! I had a blast meeting new residents and seeing friendly familiar faces.

Sincerely,

Tammy Davis

Good Evening Park County,

Just wanted to move my thread to the top, because there is now a poll running. Who would you vote for Coroner. I'm excited, let's see what you the people think.

Thank you,
Tammy Davis

Tammy:

I sent a letter to the Editor, Tom Locke, he acknowledged it, but didn't run it. The Fairplay Republican, The Flume needs to be renamed the Democrat. Apparently only what he wants to print goes out.

Sorry,

In all due fairness to Tom Locke, I should point out that the Park County Republican and Fairplay Flume is one of four 'local' newspapers owned and operated by the Arkansas Valley Publishing Company in Salida, CO. (the other three papers are The Mountain Mail, The Chaffee County Times and The Leadville Herald-Democrat.) Tom, of course, has some 'leeway' in what he chooses to run or not run, but he still has to answer to his boss, Merle Baranczyk, owner of the aforementioned Arkansas Valley Publishing Company. Hope this doesn't 'jack' the thread.

I meant less harm than my last posting seemed to mean. I was disappointed by not finding my letter published as it was the first such letter I have sent to the Flume. Two years ago I was upset that the writer who continually published articles on my attempts to get on the ballot, seemed to constantly spin my words with a spin towards his personal Liberal side.

So, I have decided that I would like you to read what I sent to the Flume in order to show where my feelings lie.

Letter to Editor Tom Locke

MY VOTE FOR CORONER IS FOR TAMMY DAVIS

I have vacillated back and forth long enough, giving myself time to truly get to know both Candidates for Coroner in this upcoming Primary Election, and as a result have decided to cast my vote for Tammy Davis for Park County Coroner. There are many reasons for my vacillation. Both have made initial good impressions on me. Only one has stood up to attacks and shown proof of what she has claimed, only one has had the courage to stand up for her passion.

Tammy speaks of ways to save money for the taxpayers, what a novel idea! Her opponent scoffs at this. Why don’t they get it? Tammy speaks about her training, experience, and knowledge of the job. Her opponent only attacks. She has shown the willingness to sit down one-on-one and spent the time to answer my questions and concerns. Tammy has earned my confidence and my vote.

Her opponent has shown the arrogance of long entrenched political ties, assuming that he doesn’t always need to be present at public forums, to meet the citizens who would vote and pay the salary through taxes of this elected office. Twice now, he has had other previous commitments more important than attending. Twice now, he has disappointed.

My vote may not be important to you, but it is important to me and to Tammy Davis. I hope you use your vote as wisely.

good letter nmysys.

now i am curious why your letter was not published in the flume. past the deadline date? or letter sent sooner than their 3-4 weeks interval? maybe not in the online edition but in the published edition? your information will help me decide whether to continue to subscribe to the flume. thank you.

It is a good letter Nmysys and I am puzzled why they wouldn't publish it too? (They published ours in support of Samantha...) I know Tom said he had 23 letters that were being published which seems like a lot...maybe he ran out of room? Do you know if he maybe pended it to this week's paper? I'll look for it when we get our issue of the Flume this week. :)
