Because he was the author for Obamacare as governor of Massachusetts? It doesn't matter if he was the author for Obamacare as governor of Massachusetts. He's not governor anymore, he's a presidential candidate. In case you didn't notice, Gingrich is not running for president. And it doesn't matter what the Heritage Foundation, Cato Institute or Freedomworks did back in the eighties. Many of the people who will be affected by this new tax weren't even alive then. I wish the left could get out of the past. It's not Bush, it's not Massachusetts and it's not opinions or policy 30 years ago. The election coming up is in November 2012 and the left had better be concerned with what Romney is doing NOW or else you folks are going to miss the coming elections while you're poking around in "ancient" history.
By the way, what is Romney doing NOW? He keeps shaking the Etch a Sketch so it is hard to tell what he stands for. He was for gay marriage, now maybe he is against it, or he is still for it, he has not decided, he was for an individual mandate, now he is against it, at least today, he was for rights for illegal immigrants, then he was against it, and now he probably is against, unless he decides he is for it, he does not remember what he is for, but he stands behind it, whatever it was.
