Again, work on your reading comprehension and you will be able to lift you and your family from poverty. You don't "sign" up for the ACA. If you are looking for a free handout, then you are looking at the wrong place. If you are truly in need, and make no more than 133% of the federal poverty level, then you may qualify for premium credits, and waivers on any penalty. You really should understand the issues before ripping off your comments. The Blunt Ugly Truth wrote:

Really. So... if I worked for a small business in the tech center, and I am a contractor, and of course I can't be offered any medical insurance plan by them, I can't sign up for the ACA? I thought this program was suppose to fill in the gaps for people who don't have health insurance? You mean it's only for the poverty poor? Then how does this equate to health care for all? The poor are not the only people who don't have access to affordable health insurance?
Obama said this morning that the ACA was for all the people. Lied again I guess.

LJ- if people won't be getting any more "free health care" than they get now by going to the emergency room - what's the fight for Obamacare about? You can't have it both ways. People will now get a free stamp to go to the doctor for any sniffle, sneeze or headache- especially if they are poor and can't afford the service. At least the way it was- many people stayed away from what the could not afford, unless they really needed it ie. a broken arm or an emergency. No, they won't be getting any more "free health care" than they get now by going to the emergency room.
Everyone now has a free pass to the medical system for all matters- serious OR minor. This will add to the problem.
Many companies will be reducing the number of employees to a bare minimum as a result of this law- companies like Burger King, Mc Donalds, 7-11, Walmart will no doubt be trimming their staff as they are now required to pay for health care for all employees. The fewer employees- the less exposed to Obamacare laws.I have no problem with poverty level folks getting food stamps or health care. But I am a contract programmer, I don't always have access to affordable health care due to my contractor status with some of my clients. The ACA is not for me?
Companies that only offered minimum wage and no benefits will think twice before bringing on more staff.
This will put even more people in the health care system as deadbeats- and those of us who do make money will be paying their health care bills too. Congress can simply raise the tax over and over again as the looters out number the producers.
In fact, I'm thinking about quitting my job and finally pursuing my life long dream of playing the kazoo on the pearl street mall. I'll join up with LOL- if you can't beat the looters - join um.

I congratulate you on your hard work. Your quoted text duplicate my previous comments. If you meet certain income caps, then you may qualify for premium credits. As to hiding your salary in order to get handouts, tax fraud is a serious crime. Do you really want to put your family through that?Entitlement Whore wrote:

Good. Then I should be able to hide most of my salary and get credits and waivers. Oh... and the limits set by the ACA for poverty status "Low income persons and families above the Medicaid level and up to 400% of the federal poverty level will receive federal subsidies[27] on a sliding scale if they choose to purchase insurance via an exchange (persons at 150% of the poverty level would be subsidized such that their premium cost would be of 2% of income or $50 a month for a family of 4).[28]"
Reading comprehension?. You should really understand before you go all uncivil with me.
