Looks like I get to join the "Looters" as BearMtn says. Where do I sign up?
I think I'll take the gold or platinum plan, which ever costs more.
Whichever you can pay for, it will be your choice.

I agree that the photo was taken in LA. that does not mean the photo was fabricated.
In any case- my point does not depend on weather the photo is real or not- there's a whole class of looters in America who will be getting free health care on our dime now.
By our dime- I mean people who work and earn money.
That's socialism.
When a deadbeat looter gets the benefit of a service that I have to pay for- it's called socialism- or communism.
No, they won't be getting any more "free health care" than they get now by going to the emergency room. As VL stated, what you have lost is the freedom to go to the emergency room and freeload off the system.
But, hey, you got to use the word "socialism" in a sentence... :Snooze

My family currently pays 700 dollars a month for our healthcare policy. Does this ruling and the pending enforcement of the law means that I can drop my policies and join up for coverage through ACA?

They're still smarting over hungry kids getting foodstamps...The idea of poverty-level folks getting a break on healthcare must drive them over the edge... :Whistle

Really. So... if I worked for a small business in the tech center, and I am a contractor, and of course I can't be offered any medical insurance plan by them, I can't sign up for the ACA? I thought this program was suppose to fill in the gaps for people who don't have health insurance? You mean it's only for the poverty poor? Then how does this equate to health care for all? The poor are not the only people who don't have access to affordable health insurance?
Obama said this morning that the ACA was for all the people. Lied again I guess.

I have no problem with poverty level folks getting food stamps or health care. But I am a contract programmer, I don't always have access to affordable health care due to my contractor status with some of my clients. The ACA is not for me?

LJ- if people won't be getting any more "free health care" than they get now by going to the emergency room - what's the fight for Obamacare about? You can't have it both ways. People will now get a free stamp to go to the doctor for any sniffle, sneeze or headache- especially if they are poor and can't afford the service. At least the way it was- many people stayed away from what the could not afford, unless they really needed it ie. a broken arm or an emergency.
Everyone now has a free pass to the medical system for all matters- serious OR minor. This will add to the problem.

Many companies will be reducing the number of employees to a bare minimum as a result of this law- companies like Burger King, Mc Donalds, 7-11, Walmart will no doubt be trimming their staff as they are now required to pay for health care for all employees. The fewer employees- the less exposed to Obamacare laws.
This will affect the lower paying (lower value) jobs the most. Walmart might find less of a need for shelf stockers for instance- since every new employee will cost much more than just the hourly wage- medicare and social security and unemployment tax they now have to pay.
Those companies who need more staff will be more inclined to outsource for those services, instead of hiring full time positions. They will find those services outside the USA where the prices do not include mandatory health care costs to be built into the provided services.
Companies that only offered minimum wage and no benefits will think twice before bringing on more staff.
This will put even more people in the health care system as deadbeats- and those of us who do make money will be paying their health care bills too. Congress can simply raise the tax over and over again as the looters out number the producers.
In fact, I'm thinking about quitting my job and finally pursuing my life long dream of playing the kazoo on the pearl street mall. I'll join up with LOL- if you can't beat the looters - join um.
