Next we'll have to send in our grocery store receipts. If we don't purchase federally approved foodstuffs we'll be taxed extra for buying the Twinkies. rofllol

I dunno archer, seems like you and dog are painting with a pretty broad brush. (no surprise) Can't speak for anyone else but I have studied the Obamacare law and researched numerous articles on it for the past several years. I know I have a good understanding of it. Like I've said before, I can adapt to it and probably benefit from it. I still think its bad policy and will ultimately fail, along with the rest of our fiscal policies. I hope to enjoy it while it lasts, and with my current income... yes it will be free for us. Thanks Obama!

BearMtn- see you at the Pearl st mall!

So what ever happened to the discussion about an activist Court lined with conservative justices doing the bidding of the right-wingers from the bench? Or is that only a matter when the rulings from the Court go against liberal beliefs?

So the decision went as I predicted it over two years ago. Not sure how I feel about being on the same wavelength as Justice Roberts.

If you are talking about the individual mandate, essentially it is set up as a tax on all individuals, which if you possess qualified health insurance or meet one of the exceptions, you receive a credit for. If you do not receive the credit, and choose not to pay the tax, then the IRS may pursue you for unpaid taxes just as they may do so for failure to pay income taxes. As it is currently set up, the IRS will not seek imprisonment (regardless of the bloggers) if that is the only tax that you owe, but will offset any refunds, possibly seek liens, etc.

I apologize for the broad brush, but based on the ridiculous statements by many conservative posters here, they have either chosen to be ignorant or deliberately choosing to lie about it. I am sincerely sorry about your dire economic straits. It is too bad that you and BearMtn choose to be freeloaders in order to get a government handout, as opposed to those unfortunates who are economically distressed through no fault of their own, such as medical issues.

Wow, by the time that FauxNews has a chance to give them their outrage-of-the-day talking-points tonight and what to think, they'll be loaded for bear by tomorrow morning...

You mean like CNN?

CNN News Staffers Revolt Over Blown Coverage - “Embarrassing.” “F**king humiliating.” “Shameful.” A veteran producer jumps the gun, a young correspondent goes too far, and the network's crisis deepens.

News staffers at the cable network CNN, long the gold standard in television news, were on the verge of open revolt Thursday after CNN blew the coverage on the most consequential news event of the year.

As Chief Justice John Roberts began reading his decision on the future of President Obama's health care overhaul, the CNN team inside the courtroom jumped the gun, believing that Roberts was saying the individual mandate was unconstitutional and would be overturned.

Moments after Bolduan spoke, the false story began to metastasize inside the network's online operation.

The erroneous breaking news was made into a chyron at the bottom of the screen. CNN also sent out a breaking news alert.

"It's outrageous and embarrassing,” a third CNN staffer vented. “Maybe this will shake the company into understanding that CNN has not been the 'most trusted name in news' for a very long time."

"It's Constitutional, Bitch!" lol

One conservative talking head was wanting to use this tweet as an outrage of the day, but I found it pretty funny.

Thomas Sowell: There are no solutions, just trade-offs.
