Reports from Romney's photo op tour in Louisiana (I could not make this up if I tried):
“I appreciate the chance to be here,” Romney replied. “I have a lot of questions for you.” The two then discussed evacuation procedures and the contributions of the Red Cross, Salvation Army and other organizations. “Did the water come from the sky, or the rivers, or the ocean?” Romney asked. Jindal’s response was not audible to reporters.
From the same article:
The president visited El Paso, Texas on Friday to speak to troops and veterans about a new initiative to expand mental-health services for returning warriors. Obama’s trip to Fort Bliss comes two years to the day after he formally ended the U.S. combat mission in Iraq.
“Coming home can be its own struggle, especially for wounded warriors, so we’ve poured tremendous resources into this effort,” Obama said, the soldiers listening to him shouting “Hooah” after almost every line. “Part of ending these wars responsibly is caring for those who fought in them.” Obama said.
Of course, the Romney/Ryan budget cuts 1.3 million veterans from VA healthcare, cuts $6 billion from VA healthcare, and gives greater tax breaks to the wealthy.
Who is tacky and desperate?

Alot of sh*t being thrown without any facts to back them up, so....
D'uh, the source was provided, the Washington Post. In regard to the editorial remarks, the Ryan budget is widely sourced, but if you are having problems, then here:

All facts. The GOP is bailing out on veterans and the military.
Sorry, I miss the source.
As for the Washington Times well I don't trust them, BUT I do trust Military.com.
As usual you lefties leave out key words statements...
"it is studying
a plan to save $6 billion annually in VA health care costs by cancelling enrollment of any veteran who doesn't have a service-related medical condition and is not poor.
Committee Republicans, searching for ways to curb federal deficits and rein in galloping VA costs, are targeting 1.3 million veterans who claim priority group 7 or 8 status and have access to VA care.
Priority group 8 veterans have no service-connected disabilities and annual incomes, or net worth, that exceed VA means-test thresholds and VA "geographic income" thresholds, which are set by family size.
Priority Group 7 veterans also have no service-connected disabilities and their incomes are above the means-test thresholds. But their incomes or net worth fall below the geographic index. In other words, because of where they live, in high cost areas, they likely struggle financially."
Now 2 things, I thing that "studying", and installing an issue are 2 different things, or am I wrong?
And isn't this also the same as having "The Rich paying they're fair share"?

Just say'in.
BTW, I don't agree with it.
I don't trust the Washington Times either, that is why I posted from the Washington Post.
Ryan is the one who is pushing for those cuts, so that tells you what he thinks of the importance for the health of veterans. If Romney/Ryan should be elected, veterans would be in serious jeopardy of having their benefits cut.

Thank you for the correction.
I really don't think so, they'll MOST likely (or I pray they do) Cut anything to the Military, last.
We'll just have to wait and see, once they're in the Office, since it's still in the STUDY area.
BTW, you didn't anwser my questions...
Try again>

"Studying it" is one of those code-phrases used by Mitt-the-Twit that means a couple of things:
1) I really don't have a plan, so I'll float this idea out there and if it causes an uproar, then I'll flip-flop and say "I wasn't really going to do it.", and
2) If I tell you what I'll do, we'll lose.
So, as usual, that way he never has to take a stand on anything; he never has to give any specifics; and he can just keep regurgitating generalities that he can't be pinned down on.
If I were a vet, I'd be very worried, because you've got that wacko, Ryan, ready to cut ANYTHING as long as it can be transferred to the wealthy in the form of tax cuts.
(Hmmmm... I wonder how much of that money that gets cut from the Veteran's benefits programs and given to the rich will trickle-down to Vets? How does that work? If you're retired, and don't work after a certain age, do they just put you out with the trash and hope that something "trickles-down" to you?)I guess that makes you one of the "looters"?
(And by the way, it's "The Rich paying THEIR fair share" (not "they're"...))
