I don't know what his exact strategy is so I must say no to your first question. As it was pointed out that he has campaigned during the RNC before and others campagn during the DNC (no I don't think so it usually is a tradition not to. Read GOP's post on first page), I don't see a problem with it and consider it a non issue. So double no, I don't see it as tacky or desparate. Thank you for your opinion.

On the hurricane issue: Do you really expect any politician to suspend campaigning while we all wait to see what happens? (yes I think it was something he should have waited on, however my point was that he didn't look very presidential. I see you don't agree) It was not even a hurricane when it hit. Would you hold the same standard that he should have stopped campaigning while half the country was experiencing wild fires? Or while we are still invloved in a war? ( I believe he took a risk when he did this and I thought it looked tacky. And I don't care about the first lady's butt.) My opinion.

What exactly was he supposed to be doing while waiting for the hurricane to develope and hit? Sit around the oval office watching the Weather Channel? Go to a sold out Packer pre-season game? Oh, so he does not have anything else to do is that what you are saying? All the problems of the world are solved and he must have been bored. Sorry, not a good argument. LOL :can't hear J/K

Go Packers! Just had to get the packers in there. LOL

Do you know what I find really tacky and desperate? Presidential candidates who knowingly and intentionally deliberately tell lies about welfare changes that have time and time again been shown not to have happened and even their allies acknowledge that the candidate is telling lies. Presidential campaigns who acknowledge that their candidate is lying but proudly proclaim that they don't need to tell the truth. Presidential campaigns where journalists have contests to determine the number of lies he told during his acceptance speech. Presidential campaigns who have such little regard for the intelligence of the voters that they go on record that they will simply change their positions on the issues like shaking an "Etch a sketch" depending on which voters they are targeting. The Romney/Ryan campaign has got to go down on record as piling on the most lies to the voters because as they even acknowledge, if they told the truth, they would be in big trouble. That is what I find tacky and desperate.

You know what would make me listen to you guys? If you ever called out your own party. Then I would see you are somewhat rational about this situation. One thing I was always taught about the USA? We are a democracy. We let the PEOPLE speak and if we don't win we live with it and accept that the people did speak. We do not go crazy and act like a disservice was done to us because our man did not win and act like the world is going to end. I do want Romney because I ain't no Marxist/socialist and you know what I think? your guy was not real about who he really is. If he showed who he was before the election he would not have been elected. I have issues with that.

Before you go off on me, remember I do not think that republicans never do anything wrong and I was pissed at bush last election. Just wait on what we are in for with a second term president. I am almost to the point I won't elect anyone a second time with the crap they pull when they don't have to worry about re election. Disagree with me if you like. But I am telling you, Obama was not honest and campaigned on transparency. NO it did not happen. He also campaigned on not being Bush. That is how he got elected now he has to work for it and I didn't not think his showing up in CO on the day of a hurricane helped his election. Let's see if I am wrong. It is my opinion. I am a conservative mostly just on financial issues, social issues i mostly lean left. But his way does not work he tried it and it is not that he is still trying to fix Bush's mistakes anymore. I don't see improvement or movement. If there was movement you might have an argument but you don't. Don't give me sob stories, about how he is desparate to keep the Republicans (satan) at bay. Tell me what he stands for.

Oh, and one more thing, To try and tell me that your guys don't get up there and say stuff about republicans is just plain ridiculous, they both do it. Romney is not the president so I will not call him out on a hurricane but if he campaigns during the DNR. I will bitch then too. I did not see him do this first election so makes me wonder why he would. I think he looked tacky and desperate. If you don't agree, I got no problems but don't bring in this sob story stuff. It does not help your position.

I find it unconscionable that Romney would use the suffering of an area ravaged by a hurricane to campaign. Apparently it hadn't occurred to him earlier, as the article states it was a "last-minute decision."

And may I remind you conservatives that when Obama visited the Waldo Canyon Fire you carped about him being there interfered with relief efforts and he should stay the hell away until things had settled down. Maybe he's just taking your advice.

So Romney, who has no authority or power to do anything other than take a photo op during the anguish and distress of the locals and impede the work of the responders dealing with human misery, is not tacky and desperate. Maybe Romney can take the time to inform the emergency workers that in his opinion, America does not need more firemen or policemen or emergency workers. That should brighten their day.

Those people who have been destroyed should just "work harder"...It's their own fault for living there...

There...How's that? Does that fit the Randroid line? (Where's that damned "Brownie" when you need him?... All that experience with the Arabian Horse Association would sure come in handy about now....)
