RMoney goes to LA right after his convention? THAT'S what I call tacky.

You are tacky Sh**shiner.

Better to have Obuma and Rumney provide some coverage to those ravaged by Isaac.

Yeah, so I just looked into this. You're are right Romney did show up and was invited by Jindal. However, I do not approve of anyone in politics using these disasters as photo ops. I do think that Obama is dead wrong for waiting until Monday too. This does suck. It seems almost all politicians are trying to get involved in these incidents to get publicity. You all saw how mad I was at Jesse for this as well. I can sort of see that Jindal invited him but he should have done it on the sly. Obama is screwing this up as well by waiting too long because Romney has a right to show up and talk to Jindal but he is showing up the pres and for the president to wait so long is a power play. I agree this is ridiculous. Romney should have waited at least another day or two. And Obama should be there now or at least by this weekend. Monday is too late.

"Jindal thanked the administration for sending the director of the Federal Emergency Management Agency, Craig Fugate, to Louisiana. He said his presence helped expedite approval for more federal help.
The agency, part of the Department of Homeland Security, announced Thursday that federal aid has been made available for the state to supplement state and local recovery efforts.
Obama will meet with officials dealing with Isaac's impact and "making sure that unmet needs are being met and that the federal response led by FEMA is helping citizens in the affected areas and the state and local officials who are responding to the storm," White House press secretary Jay Carney said."

So President Obama, who has the top official in charge of diaster relief on the ground throughout this, is going to LA on Monday, so not to interfere with the emergency relief efforts currently going on, on business to see what else the federal government can offer to assist, while Romney is going there today, taking resources away from local responders, solely for a photo op, and you castigate the President.

Hopefully Romney while he is there will be educated on the folly of gutting 70% of the Fema budget, which the House GOP tried to do last year, as well as gutting the budget of NOAA, whose forecasting helped mitigate the effects of this natural disaster.

Total photo op. No other real reason for RMoney to go there now.

The President should go there and he shouldn't take resources away from the rescue efforts. Maybe that's why he's not going right away. It's a mess there right now and if he did go there in the middle of the recovery efforts, it might be construed as a campaign stop and creating more headaches when they don't need them. Some people complain when the President is gumming up traffic when he shows up. The head of FEMA has already been there to ensure the federal government is helping with the recovery efforts.

so it turns out that if Ryan and the House tea partiers had their way last fall, there would have been no federal disaster relief aid available for Louisiana and Mississippi from Hurricane Isaac. I am sure that those residents appreciate that.

Months after agreeing to the new regime, Republican leaders still had to turn to procedural maneuvers to orchestrate passage of $8.8 billion in disaster money over the opposition of tea party lawmakers to keep the agreement. Ryan, the House Budget Committee's chairman, was among 66 Republicans opposing the measure.

Let's hope the Dems use the opportunity to remind ALL Americans that Lyin' Ryan was one of the ones who opposed it.
