And just so you know the reason for the name change... I just happen to relate to the fears Walter White was experiencing when he was diagnosed with cancer. I don't plan on setting up a meth lab but every once in a while, fiction does describe reality pretty well. Heisenberg (his alter-ego) is his way of seperating the good Walter from the bad one. I feel the same on this board... being offensive is the accepted norm here on both sides and once I log off, I leave Heisenberg behind. Just to clarify for you

The left is angry because they are now being judged by the content of their character and not by the color of their skin.

Hey, it's not like the being offensive is wanted or encouraged; if you have any ideas on how to improve it without turning it into a heavily moderated site, I'm all ears. I think we'd have a lot more enlightening, interesting, diverse conversations with a bigger more active group of posters if people would stick to picking apart issues and providing their opinion on events, and actions and statements by our representatives rather than picking on each other here.

"Now, more than ever, the illusions of division threaten our very existence. We all know the truth: more connects us than separates us. But in times of crisis the wise build bridges, while the foolish build barriers. We must find a way to look after one another as if we were one single tribe.” -King T'Challa, Black Panther

The truth is incontrovertible. Malice may attack it. ignorance may deride it, but in the end, there it is. ~Winston Churchill

Personally, I don't think an online forum where people can be anonymous lends itself to the sort of discussions you wish for. I also think those sorts of discussions are boring to read. If I want intelligent political discussions, I'll wait for in-person give and takes with real people with real identities. The anonymous lax moderation scenario lends itself to trolls popping in and derailing any meaningful discussions. I also think many on here like to put people in pre-defined boxes and go from there.

Yeah, you did one of 'em, and a conservative did the other.

It was a joke, but thanks for being so serious about it.
