Not sure if this is official: Final talk time: Obama 42:50, Romney 38:30.

Debate was iffy due to terrible moderating. No control and Romney took advantage of it and came off a little rude. He showed more passion, but was evasive. President Obama didn't have that fire he had at the convention. Came off more like a professor.

The best moments - Romney telling Lehrer he was going to fire him and Big Bird. Romney's sons seeming like they really wanted to meet the President.

Agree the moderating was poor. But that's pretty normal for the debates. The mods tend to go overboard not to seem biased. But again, I'd like to see the time each candidate had to speak. And both candidates avoided the questions, and I didn't see any one more rude than the other. Romney just took over in general. He seemed much more confident and looked glad to be there, as he should. Again, Obama looked very uncomfortable.

I too laughed at the Big Bird remark. Negative for Romney. But I think he had plenty of good quips to make up for it.

If accurate, that surprises me. I remember Romney starting a question and having the final answer a couple of times.

A question. I know that anyone on this board could follow the debate, but I also tried to treat it as being a newbie and follow what was being said. I don't have twitter so don't know what others thought but do you think a lot of people tuned out or got lost in the exchange?

towermonkey - did you make it there? What did you think, seeing it in person?

"Now, more than ever, the illusions of division threaten our very existence. We all know the truth: more connects us than separates us. But in times of crisis the wise build bridges, while the foolish build barriers. We must find a way to look after one another as if we were one single tribe.” -King T'Challa, Black Panther
